Principles to Observe
These are the 11 principles to observe to become a decent player:
1. You will respect others as you'd like to be respected.
2. You won't feel superior regardless your experience, richness or number
of friends in game.
3. The more people like you the best for all.
4. Have an open heart for forgiving and for understanding.
Give a second opportunity and let a redemption track for any
who has hurt you or betrayed you.
5. Share your knowledge and wisdom with the rest of the people, ignore
when others boo you for your superior knowledge.
6. Be fun and have fun.
7. Help others whenever you can. Donate good for those who are poorer
than you.
8. Recognize the efforts of others as you'd like your efforts to
be recognized.
9. Do not complain when other poke fun out of funny things.
10. Behave in IRC and in forums as you'd behave in real life home.
11. Be flexible but never surrender your own Principles.

I'd quibble with #4, but completely agree with the others.
I also hesitate at #4. A second chance, maybe, depending on the level of the betrayal, but more than that, and you are likely being played for a fool. This is coming from someone who has a reputation for being too soft. There does have to come a point where someone is considered beyond redemption.
