I dont post my silly articles in LA shoutbox and am not even a commander.

Actually as QM of Boot Camp I pm'd recruits asking them to join the IFP. This enabled us to get into the top 5 and we haven't really looked back since. I guess maybe I would draw a line on using the MU feed.

I do think there is a difference between the MU Commander Message and PMs. I mean that is how most law works in most Western Nations, you aren't supposed to preach politics if you get government money. Now if you lead an organization that gets money and you want to invite people to your home for a fundraiser, more power to you, but not from the organization itself.

Would you let the Community Org newspaper be used to recruit for say ILP?

As a point, how is this mudslinging? This seems like a legitimate question. It isn't even particularly aggressive, he just asks that people not do this sort of thing again, that seems like a fair and sensible request to preserve the great place that is Boot Camp.

I think everyone here has a great repect for Malbekh as i do, but to me this is a worse issue than posting a link to an article. However i see no problem with either of them. Malbekh as a PP did his duty to his party in trying to recruit Ireland's younger players

and help them grow in his party. All Conway is doing is spreading his article and campaigning. He reaches out to a different voter base than other candidates do, however he does his job well and deserves this PERK. If a CP announces his re-election campaign in a CP article, its just a perk of his position, not abuse of it. As long as the jobs getting done well, as Conway is doing, then it's not abuse at all. Politics are politics.

So in your opinion we should accept sending our Div 1 recruits over to BootCamp where the Commander then tries to get them to vote for him and not for the affiliated candidate.

If this is the accepted policy the result will be LA will stop sending new members there.

I don't want that and I don't believe you want that. PM who you want as an Individual but posting as Commander to your troops asking for support is wrong.

I agree that eBootCamp should be neutral and apolitical. Approaches to members should be personal and not making use of rank/structures of organisation.

i know for fact when u enter croatian boot camp or croatian army... not private armies, but goverment run organizations, in each topic on each irc channel first thing clearly written in caps is KEEP POLITICS AWAY FROM CHANNEL. I mean... even croats figured that one out. Military has to be totally out of politics.
