Prime Ministerial Update

Day 1,101, 19:07 Published in New Zealand New Zealand by Calbe

Good Afternoon everyone. As promised, I’m looking to publish more updates as to what is going on in the executive office. There are a couple of things I would like to bring to your attention before I go to U2. That’s right, U2!!!

First and Foremost.
The new military rules. The new military rules will come into force on Monday and as you are all aware by now due to the leaked letter to Country Presidents, there are a few changes coming back. Firstly there is Initiative, which is great. It adds another element to the game.
However, there is a part that I am not so keen on. In a nutshell, it states that after 6-hours, the president with initiative will auto-attack an adjacent territory.
Whilst this sounds like a relief for CPs, the fact that it is automatic and as of yet, I have heard of no talks of removing this feature, or of allowing CPs to cancel the attack.
Due to our small size, any further war games with Australia may end in disaster for us. For this reason I will not be participating in war games over Tasmania, at least until I can clear some of this up with the admins.
This is a feature that was brought out at a very inconvenient time, having just passed the Declaration of War into law, I was informed of these up-coming changes. I will be dedicating a lot of effort to clearing this up and will advise on anything further as it comes to hand.

Secondly.
Military and Civilian Honours. Honours are, in my opinion, a fantastic way of encouraging patriotism and activity within a nation. The goal of securing the admiration of colleagues is what drives most people to excel. The Military Honours have already been established, however I am leaving it up to the New Zealand Public to vote and decide on whether or not we implement civilian honours.
Please make yourself - and vote - heard here:

Thirdly.
Congress elections are happening and a lot of interest is being put into the final stages. It is looking like it may be a reasonably close election again so we will have to wait with baited breath.

Fourthly.
Military Organisations and Companies are up and running. We’re also expecting an increase in activity so get role calls and sign-ups running. Get involved in the military, you may just go overseas ^_~. Seriously though, if you’re involved in the military, get into one of the companies. Pay comes mostly from food but you’re building up a solid nation from the inside out. Get in touch with Darkmantle to get a job or placement in the Army, and get in touch with Thomas765 to join the Special Air Service.

Fifthly.
I am going to U2 tonight! Shame!

This is all I can think of for now, If anything else comes up, I will advise you of it.
Work Hard, Train Hard, Fight Hard!
eNZ ROCKS!
