Presidential Update

Dear citizens of ePakistan,


I am writing this article a bit late than I had actually intended. It was due to some unavoidable circumstances in RL as well as in eRepublik.


Anyways, as the name suggests, this article is to update the people of ePakistan about the current situation of the country. I hope I will cover all the important points.


The most important developments this month were made in the foreign affairs’ ministry and interior ministry. The rest of the ministries and departments have continued to do what they were doing in the previous month.


Foreign Affairs’ Ministry:

One of the developments made in the foreign affairs ministry is that we have made alliances with three new countries this month namely Austria, Republic of Moldova and Switzerland. I hope we can have even better relations with these countries in the future. These alliances were made in accordance to our foreign policy.


Another really important development this month was that EPIC was dissolved. It has affected us because we were a full member of it. I hope the countries of EPIC will still cooperate with each other although we aren’t in a single alliance anymore. I would like to thank the fellow countries of EPIC and also say that ePakistan will never forget what any country has done for us and we will always be ready to return the favor when any country asks for it.


Interior Ministry:

Another really important development was done in the interior ministry. The ATO team has done a LOT of work to save ePakistan. They definitely deserve a lot of praise. Av khan and dodial have done loads of work with the help of Mohammad Bilal, wehshigujjar and Mehmood25. ePakistan is much safer today only because of the efforts of these people. There is still a big PTO threat but it is much smaller than before because the ATO team has attacked it with intelligence and experience.





Congress:

As congress elections are going on today and the previous congress is retiring, I should really say that I am really proud of the congress we had in the past month. Policy, Noshal, vrsoldiers, v3nG3R, Cluster Storms, and zafthfirst did all they could for the safety and progress of the country. All the proposals and citizenship passes were used intelligently and all the voting was done with proper coordination. I hope the next congress also does the same and works to make the country prosper in every possible manner.

For the voters, follow the official list and login on IRC before voting so you can know how your vote can be used for maximum protection against PTO.


Controversies:

With all this said, I would like to clear up a few misconceptions in the minds of the people.

I am really disappointed at the childish behavior of some of the new players of ePakistan. They have criticized the Council of Elders in a disgraceful manner. The members of CoE have worked as hard as they could for the prosperity and progress of the nation. All they think is that the CoE members want power and they don’t want the new players to progress. This is not true and it is a total misconception. The congress members which are proposed as official are not decided by a single person. It is done through internal voting and new players are preferred over seniors. For the purpose of checking the trust the majority of the people have on the CoE, a referendum was held. Result of the referendum clearly shows that majority of the people of ePakistan support the CoE as they have trust in the members of CoE. If anyone has any doubts over the council’s efforts, they should discuss it with the members. There are only a few people who don’t trust the council solely because they don’t know the real threats ePakistan is facing or they are greedy for power and/or gold.


In the end, I would like to say that we are all ePakistanis and we should always remain united. If we don’t remain united, we won’t have our country. The PTOs can only be avoided if we are united. As it is sai😛


United we stand, divided we fall


Apart from all this, we have an important battle today or maybe tomorrow. We have to help one of our allies. I will write a separate article with the orders of fighting in that battle.
