Presidential Military Plans: A Quick Look at The Presidential Hopefuls Platforms:

Ice_Freeze's Plan:

The Current Military would be kept in its basic structure. Some Updates would be made, More emphasis would be placed on Recruiting and on finding quality Officers to fill opening spots in the Military. The government would hand out more guns to the active troops to encourage their activity levels. The state run gun company would continue to be funded as normal. The state ticket company would also continue to be funded as normal.

On a face level, little would change. Behind the scenes, The president would be working more closely with the Minister of Defense, The Minister of Defense would be working more closely with the Division Commanders and the Division Commanders would be working more closely with their Platoon Leaders (This part only applies to Homeguard as Torchwood only has 1 Platoon). Weekly status reports would be requested from the Minister of Defense to gauge activity and weekly needs of the military.

Personal Note: This is one of the only plans I have seen that does not rely heavily on re-structuring the current military. It makes sense to me because when V2 drops, the Military will have to undergo a massive overhaul anyway and there is no point in restructuring twice, potentially with overlapping times (Depending on when V2 goes live). I feel it would be extremely disruptive to the Military and its efforts if in the middle of a change, V2 went live. Chaos would ensue and the military might totally break down.

Logan's Plan:

The Military would be fractured into 3 Divisions. Their names would more than likely be changed from current names to something else. (Torchwood would more than likely be retained as a name for one of the divisions) The 3 divisions of the proposed military would function similar to the current military model but there would be changes in leadership. In addition to this a “training corp” would be set up.

Personal Note: The idea of a training division or platoon is not a new on and has proven to be problematic in the fact that eSingapore does not get enough people to support a training corps being established. The idea was explored by Relorian and Mdeusa03 and resulted in the training documents being placed on the eSingapore national forums.

Atracurium's Plan:

Remove the Minister of Defense role all together. Placing it under the Minister of Security and renaming it Department of Defense. Existing structures would be scrapped. Units would be required to “rotate” to defend the homeland and to be deployed. Platoons would be renamed to Regiments and placed under a discipline level akin to the eUS Military (i.e. Having to seek Leaves of Absence, having to seek permission to move somewhere else to work a job or to miss training/deployments). Training would be mandatory and would involve the Regiment leaders freely choosing where to do their training.

Personal Note: Allowing Platoon leaders (or Regiment leaders) to choose where to do training is a bad idea that might cross the lines of neutrality in a more open fashion and draw attention from the super alliances onto eSingapore for either supporting or attacking an Alliances goals.
