Presidential Issues
Ivan Hat
What have I come back to ladies and gentlemen? I leave for a few months and I come back to worse fraud than anything that was currently in place!
Although I can be considered a friend of Vaclav I do not in any way enjoy seeing someone abuse the system to get what they want. The issue however is NOT with him, you see; Vaclav is not our president, he isn't running our country, he isn't doing anything that can be considered harmful to us. What is going on however is that we have a man who should not be in office who remains in office! It was with Vaclav's votes that Radim won the election, everyone knows this. A man that the people of this nation did not vote for in the majority in ANY sense is now put back into the top position.
I am happy for Radim to realize his predicament. He himself has condemned Vaclav's actions and those who abused the rules and regulations that our government stands for. The PROBLEM of this is that he remains president. Deep down inside Radim's head he is dancing and having a blast. One more month to rule a country, five more gold in his pocket, and more chances to push his agenda (REGARDLESS of it's effects of the nation.) I am not attacking Radim's agenda or what he plans to do with the nation; what I am doing is attacking his moral standards. He has displayed the hypocracy that no politician should be allowed to show.
Vaclav was CAUGHT cheating, those votes specifically went to Radim, who in the end happily took them. He was elected under false pretenses. The obvious thing to ask is what he plans to do with this? Radim has run under the 'honorable' candidate choice in the past. The one who will not be corrupted. The problem is that he has BECOME corrupt by the mere fact that he remains in power in a win that is not his.
In my opinion, in order for him to regain his honor he needs to be at the FRONT of the Impeachment process, or resigning the presidency himself! But here we are in this time with him Setting up his candidate and offering the Vice Presidency, a politically pointless position in this game, to the runner up and rightful President DaLe.
Does this sound like an honest person to you? Does this sound like someone you want running our country? I don't want that, and I hope neither do you.
Comments
Agreed.
Vote!
But I also bought votes for DaLe, so you have no idea who would have actually won.
Even if I would have won with your votes Vaclav, it still would have been shameful and I wouldn't have been happy about it! Maybe admins should create a country only for you with NPCs where you get to decide who gets how many votes?
DaLe, its politics. In politics people do crazy things. Also, this is a GAME. One that I no longer take seriously.
Did I buy votes for Personal gain? No, did i buy votes for personal lulz, yes.
I don't have a problem with crazy things. I have a problem with school-yard bullies.
Besides the fact that personal lulz = satisfaction = personal gain, you still did "buy" those votes, regardless of your motivation.
Buying votes because i can, and buying them to get myself elected or a prefered candidate elected is personal gain. I dont even like radims policies, but its lol.
Dont you Vaclav think that you acted a little bit arrogant and reckless?
Nechci lidi prudit, už je tady toho až moc, ale kde berou všichni tu jistotu, že těch 14 černých duší skutečně volilo a že volili radima???? o když dostal radim 9 hlasů a DaLe 5 hlasů??? Kdo ví???Víš to ty DaLe???Ví to snad Kafka,Ivan Hat či RED Baxter???Ne, neví to nikdo z nás kromě Václava a tan nám to stejně neřekne a pokud jo tak mu Nezávislost stejně věřit nebude(a ani já).
There's no way out of this mess. We should just gradually impeach all candidates and have no president this month. Radim will - thanks to the hatred in eCR - succeed in nothing, because all the decisions he or his government will make shall be immediately denied without consideration.
True, if he won't talk to anybody.
Eg. look, no one spoke out against a MPP with the USA, people are in favour of it, but it seems that the USA are waiting for radim to propose it since early Monday.
And what about radim opinion about those elections?
I heared no thing from him for a while... Looks like he retreated to a hole like a rat and having good time reading all this.
Is that act of a president?
It is not right to impeach Radim. But I think he should show humility in the context of the way in which the election was won. It is clear he does not have an unfettered mandate to rule. He must listen to the opposition parties and consult before making controversial policy decisions.
I believe there are two issues with this election, as I have stated. 1 is the very issue that Vaclav has brought upon us in buying such votes in the first place. 2 is that the 'winner's of such votes have shown very little humility about it, as Carmen has stated. Which is my biggest problem with Radim.
I however do feel that Something needs to be done about. We can not let such a damaging act go with a slap on the wrist. It promotes later acts of fraud and encourages the receivers of these votes to act less and less responsible for them!
I have now read in another article that President Radim wants us to join EDEN - these are the same people that shafted their former ally Germany. I have been living in many PEACE countries (Turkey and Thailand) and I see PEACE having been a friend to Czech Republic and never casuing any problems. So why turn your back on these people and join with those that raped Germany? It is not logic. What does the opposition think of this? I would like to hear DaLe's position on this.
radim named the wrong Alliance there. He meant to say Fortis.
Nevertheless, the point raised is still valid. Joining Fortis would most likely mean turning our back on PEACE countries, especially since the eUSA seem to be somewhat on a collision course with PEACE. While I support friendly relations with Fortis countries, I am not sure if they would serve as best/only strategical partner. I still remember the lack of support of Fortis countries when Germany was invaded.
I wouldn't consider EDEN to be a good choice for our country to join.
PEACE would generally seem like a reasonable option.
But before we consider which alliance we would like to join, we should ask ourselves if we want to abandon our neutrality? Do we want our country to play most likely a rather minor role in any alliance? Or do we want to continue and encourage friendly bi-lateral relations with individual countries across the alliances? This is, I believe, something a public debate should be held on.
As for Ivan's words, I certainly agree that it would have been good to see more condemnation of what happened. Nevertheless, radim does not have full support of Congress, regardless or rather not only because of Vaclav's action and the aftermath.
Nezavislost currently holds 10 seats out of 21 in Congress. The impeachment vote was 8 to 9. With the majority in Congress the Opposition can block any laws or pass most laws itself. This situation allows us to follow up on our own policy points, regardless of the government's approval. Which raises of course the question, who will be the actual government here?
That doesn't mean that we will block any of Radim's and his Ministers' efforts just because they made them, but we have no reason to approve anything that is in conflict with our policy.
Já teda nechápu proč se tu lidi naváží do radima. On nepodváděl. A furt je lepší nějaký prezident, než žádný 🙂
Not much to add except
If what happened will be left without counter-action or a punishment of a sort, and if there will be no change to game mechanics, it will happen again, it will or might become a norm or accepted way to play the game.
I am not saying if its good or bad, all I am saying, despite its being obvious (to me), that everyone should reconsider what kind of game s/he wanna play, because .. beware what you wish for.
