Presidential Elections; Interview Candidates

As always, the Eye of Tomorrow publishes an article which is containing interviews with the participants of the Presidential Elections. This month it isn't any different, We have the following candidates:

Kordak

I've had the interviews with them, unfortunately Briepe hasn't answered yet, but that still can happen, as always, enjoy the article!



The first interview is with Kordak! You may know him as the King of the eNetherlands, he has already been President in the past (once). Enjoy!

1. Why do you want to be the next President of the eNetherlands?
I enjoy being President, it feels good to work hard for people. I also have the coming months not so much to do rl, so I will be able to give full gas and focus on getting into Aurora. Besides of that I have seen some new upcoming talents I am giving a position in the government and also will give them mentorship to help the future generations in the eNetherlands. I see that a lot of people get bored and that there is a lot of mud throwing like always. I'm not a saint, but I will try to get our people active again and give them positive thoughts, so there words can be positive too to others.

2. What do you think of the current situation in the eNetherlands?
I'm disappointed that we are still no part of a alliance. I don't say it is the fault of our former governments, I understand that it is really hard to do. In my opinion we need to keep active talks with the alliance leaders and HQ of Aurora to get accepted.

3. Are there any key problem(s) where the eNetherlands is struggling with?
Again a lot of mud throwing in our country, which makes me sad. This is a game and people should enjoy it. Criticism is good as long it is constructive, a lot of our players are young kids who can really get some damage by the things people say here. We should always keep respect for each other and be gentle.

Another problem is the decrease of our population, which can be helped by making the community nicer more active. To get new citizens we should start with our babyboom program again.

4. How do you want to solve these key problem(s)?
I want to organize some IRC meetings to give people a view on how nice it could be to be part of a community. I want more talks between the different parties to get them involved in the work of the government. I also want good communication with the people and the congress.

5. What's your opinion about the achievements of our current President?
I am a bit disappointed about our current president to be fair. He seems inactive and did not really made contact with the people. I have no idea what he has been doing this month, but I trust on the people around him to continue the important work and keep things in order.

6. What would you have done differently?
I would have focussed on activity and fun. Also I would have invested more time in my job as president. However I can not really blame him since he was the only candidate.

7. Have you got anything left to say to the citizens of the eNetherlands?
There is a lot of negativity towards me and some other players. However people who really know me also know I am a fair and hard working person who is always listening to others. I ensure a month of activity and fun and will do my best to get into Aurora alliance. I wish you all happiness



The second interview is with Cody Caine, he hasn't been president in the past. Enjoy!

1. Why do you want to be the next President of the eNetherlands?
The biggest reason as to why I want to be Country President is rather obvious. I genuinely believe I have the necessary tools to be able to be a successful Country President and to govern effectively and put together an active and strong government for our country. During my time in the community I believe I have shown myself to be diplomatic and pragmatic. For example, as Party President of the Dutch Revolutionary Party I did my best to work with players from all parties across the political spectrum and to establish good relations with them, helping to lead to the great cooperation amongst the DRP and several others to this day. I feel this is a necessary skill to be successful as CP and I feel I have this skill and will be able to apply it well as President.

2. What do you think of the current situation in the eNetherlands?
The Netherlands is currently in a very successful position in my opinion especially in regards to foreign affairs. We have greatly strengthened relations between ourselves and several key allies, most importantly those who neighbor us. Economically we are doing fine and militarily some much needed reforms have been made. This doesn't mean everything is perfect but we are doing quite well.

3. Are there any key problem(s) where the eNetherlands is struggling with?
There are a couple problems the Netherlands has currently. One that I'm sure many agree on is that there needs to be more communication from the government to the people with more articles relaying needed information to the public. Also, more can be done about the military. There are things that can be done to make us fight as a unified, effective force and I believe I can help to fix this. We also are not currently a member of an alliance. There has been a great push to join Aurora and some great steps have been taken already but we still need to accomplish actually getting a trial membership which has been supported by a large majority of the Dutch people.

4. How do you want to solve these key problem(s)?
I will make it a priority for there to be cabinet updates to the congress and to the people as often as possible, especially concerning important developments such as those relating to alliance news. I expect an active, communicative cabinet and that is why I have selected the people I have for those positions. For the military, I plan to institute regular military strikes, preferably twice a day, in which Dutch soldiers can get together and coordinate our damage much more efficiently. Of course, this is going to require activity on behalf of myself as well as the Ministry of Defence. As for joining Aurora, we need to take the final steps of applying for trial membership. Obviously we need to maintain good contact with Aurora nations throughout and stay up-to-date with the HQ as best we can and take that final step.

5. What's your opianion about the achievements of our current President?
I think Arcanic has done a good job of providing a stable, hard-working government for the Netherlands and especially a stable vision for the foreign affairs of the country especially during this time after our recent war with Norway. Overall I think that was successful and I feel his government also did well with emphasizing the community this month.

6. What would you have done differently?
Of course not everyone is perfect and there are some things I would have done differently. I always believe that real life comes first but as Country President I would have tried to do much more and been more active and online. I think it’s important for the Country President to be available as often as possible to be safe and ensure things are being taken care of. So to answer your question I would say I would have tried to be more active myself.

7. Have you got anything left to say to the citizens of the eNetherlands?
I just want to say that regardless of the outcome of this election, it has been an honor to campaign here in the eNetherlands and talk with citizens during the campaigning process. And I sincerely hope to serve as your President in the month of June.



Unfortunately Briepe hasn't answered yet, but that may not take long, that depends on him.
