Presidential candidate-Kyonkyon
Kyonkyon
Congress elections have just finished.
Godzilla party is the big winner.
ULJ was also quite successful.
Now, we have to look at country president elections.
I decided to run country president.
Many may think that I do not have enough experience. This is true.
But I have some reason that are good enough to believe it is good to run for president.
1. I think it is good to have many candidates. This means many options and of course more interesting campaign.
2. Until now I have seen that only Akki is also candidate. Akki is more experienced and more supported than me, but I think it is not good to have the same president elected many times. It is more interesting and fun to have new faces competing.
3. I plan to be open and listen to people. I think the best is to have people decide. I do not want to be the one who controls everything and decides everything. This is not fun. We have many problems to solve and the problems must be solved with discussion. This will make things clear and more entertaining.
Currently there was discussion about Indonesia, PEACE and Japan. Some said government did well others have problems. For me, problem was not decision itself, but how the decision was taken. The discussion about the decision was secret to citizen and only few people decided about this. I think this is not how important problems must be solved. First of all I think it is good to be open to citizens not only to see situation, but also to decide. Many citizens left Japan, after this, which is surely bad for Japan.
After becaming member of cabinet (Secretary of Culture) I discovered that there are secret forums for cabinet members. I do not find any need for this. I do not understand why important political discussion can not be open.
My plan is to changes ministries with teams responsonsible for each affair.
President Minamoto asked for citizens willing to become Secretary of Culture.
I like this very good idea. But I think there is no need to have only one responsible.
Anyone who wants to help, can join the team.
For example we can create economy team, army team, immigration team.
Citizens can participate in any team they like. The can participate in all team if they like.
Decision will be made with elections, preferably open to public.
I do not think we have to hide anything.
4. Media activity.
I plan to be active in media. I try to write one article every day and be close to people.
For me priority is to make Japan a nice and fun place.
Strong economy and army make new citizens come, but I also want many newspapers to read and active citizens with interesting articles.
5. Unity.
There were many problems with citizens from Korea. Some said it is a PTO. This is really sad, since I think we can all try together for the good of Japan. Having different opinion does not mean being enemy. I think we must welcome all foreigners here. It is sad that many foreigners are waiting citizenship.
6. Fairness.
I think a candidate from a minor party can be more fair that the one who is in a big party. I believe that all parties have interesting ideas. It is natural to disagree in many things, but we must respect others. A candidate belonging to a big party can be difficult to be fair. Or maybe difficult to persuade all citizens that is fair.
☆☆☆
For all those reasons I have decided to run.
Currently I do not have support from a party other than mine.
I know that my chances are limited, but I think it is my duty to run.
I really want to see other candidates run and wish all candidates good luck.
We can all cooperate for the good of Japan.
Comments
Good luck Kyon, nice project 🙂
1. Actually NO
2. Akki is not a candidate as far as i know, he just put himself there because he can.
3.Everyone does, if you didn't you wouldn't even deserve to be president.
4.Ok
5.They are waiting because of the limit, it's not the congressmen fault they can only accept 4 at a time.
6.I need proof of that, because a candidate is a candidate.
Anyways i like your entusiasm but i think you're going to fast....Good luck anyways, voted for the sake of fairness.
The information regarding the Indonesia/PEACE deal was secret because it dealt with information about the invasion of eUSA that, had we revealed to the public, would have gotten back to eUSA. If we had revealed it to the public then there is a good chance our place in PEACE would be lost.
Walorm is right but it's not the only thing, government had little time and had to make the decision ASAP, there was almost no time for discussion even with themselves....
I follow Squibeel: You going too fast
I have a follower! yay xD
Weak candidature ... Sorry, but you are not my kind of leader I would follow ...
1. Actually NO
I think different way. Can you say reason for this big NO?
2. Akki is not a candidate as far as i know, he just put himself there because he can.
Sorry, I see Akki in candidate list supported by two parties.
It is natural to think Akki is candidate.
3.Everyone does, if you didn't you wouldn't even deserve to be president.
I think the case of Indonesia, was not a decision taken by people.
5.They are waiting because of the limit, it's not the congressmen fault they can only accept 4 at a time.
As a cabinet member I can say, that this is not the only reason.
6.I need proof of that, because a candidate is a candidate.
As far as I understand, president Minamoto is believed to have been elected by North Koreans and does not represent the will of Japanese people.
I really wish that there are no problem. I want to support all candidates and all parties.
I am sure it is difficult to persuade people vote me. But this makes me try more. I want more creative comments. Just saying you are not good, is not very useful.
1. A lot of candidates sometimes divide the country, start unecessary fights between people, too much competition and that's not very healthy.
2. Yes it's natural to assume that but NO xD
3. There has to be someone different but it doesnt mean i'm wrong does it?
5. As a member more involved than the cabinet i think what is discussed in the cabinet should stay there thank you very much.
6. He won it's a democracy, if someone doesn't accept it he had his chance to make his opinion be heard and voted, democracy again.
7. I'm not going to say you aren't good, in my gaming experience i can tell you this, you only gain experience by doing it you might not be good now to the eyes of everyone who hasn't seen you in a presidential position but it might be that once in there everyone can be prooved wrong.
As President, I can tell you the main reason for the lack of citizenship approvals was the lack of proper legislation. The office of immigration was awaiting creating (and still is).
I admire your brutal honesty and unforgiving innocense, kyonkyon, but it's probable that your views will change as you progress further into eRepublik (in my opinion).
By the way, you can make a trustworthy team for your department of Culture and Events any time 😃 I thought I made that clear on more than one occasion!!
Also, I have a job for you 😛
1. A lot of candidates sometimes divide the country, start unecessary fights between people, too much competition and that's not very healthy.
This is correct if think other candidate as enemy.
I do not think other candidate as enemy. I think we are friends.
We have our ideas and people select. This is normal. There is no reason to fight for that.
More candidates, more ideas.
Good luck from the Singapore Green Party, I love your ideas and think that it'd be a really interesting way to run a country! ^________^
I would like to see you work on the smaller things Kyonkyon. I think that you can impact eJapan greatly by working up, and I admire your enthusiasm.
Good luck 🙂 I love interesting things.
Heartfelt, Kyonkyon. With citizens like you I feel much more confident about the future. Now show us how stubborn you are. 😉
Good luck and keep up the good work!
I can only lol... the first point you had is pretty much useless because of the Godzilla Party.
once there are 1 candidate from each party, it's going to be impossible to beat the Godzilla Party.
