Practical Guide to Job Hunting for NEW PLAYERS
Lemuel Gengulfus
Hello folks.
Of late there has been a rise in so-called "economic warfare" = foreign/enemies of the eUK creating companies here and posting fake or misleading job vacancies in order to destabilise our labour market.
For reasons of space & practicality, I've attached a link to an old but very detailed forum post that details what to look for when job hunting. The key thing is to conduct a bit of research before clicking that "Apply" button - if it looks too good to be true, it probably is!
There is a particular pitfall to watch for if you are new to the game:
- Companies that are not genuine - ie: have been created to attract new players and decrease your health (and interest levels!) [SEE Part II of the attached article]
This article shows how to research companies and what to look for: http://eusforum.com/index.php/topic,10162.0.html> A Guide to Job Hunting
An example of where NOT to work in the eUK is any UNKP owned company, such as this firm: http://www.erepublik.com/en/company/neutral-gifts-181594>Neutral Gifts
A good employer should always be open to helping to develop & advance his/her employees. To this end if you have any questions or feel you need more money, or would like to transfer to another firm, you should be able to and should always contact your boss to discuss it. If they don't want to know, then move on and find an employer who does care.
I hope this helps and happy job hunting.

@Mortalbeta
I have done - the official response from the eRep Admins was:
"Though what this company is doing is unfair and immoral, it is done within the game mechanics. We hope that this issue will be prevented when the new economic module is released in the future"
All I can do is publicise and I hope you can help me flag up this problem.
can't we do the same then to other countries seeing as they are doing it to us.
yes it is not right, but they are abusing it at present and causing a problem.
not happy bout this
@MetalMicky
I believe that we are replying in kind - the USA suffers from this problem far more than we do.
