Power to the PEOPLE

Power to the People in Erepublik
Your way towards power:
The executive power in Erepublik is exerted by the Congressmen and the Country's President.
Which are the responsibilities of the Congress?
Voting tax-related (and other financial) laws, ratifying alliances and donations, and impeaching the President!
COLLECTIVISATION of the economy, the way of transparency, democracy and the people!
If you want to change the current unfair capitalist e-economy, just think you can open a new road!!! That road is EXTENSIVE COLLECTIVISATION!
First and foremost, let's see the basic stuff:
What is a collective commune?
It's a collaboration company of around 20 people. It can be bigger if group of people is bigger.
How can a Commune be created?
The founding members agree to collaborate, and found a company in which they will be working for the minimum wage. You will need an org and people who will donate gold to you.
Why minimum wage?
Because less money is lost through taxes, as the actual wage is given in a diferent way (through donations), as described below.
Let's see how a commune can bring people's revolution in Erepublik, and what's the role of the State in that.
As we saw, simple players can be organised in communes, and that will make profit! If the players organise lots of communes like the ones described above, they will be able to create fixed prices that will be lower than capitalist companies' prices. That will be so, because of the much lower cost of operation, as the taxes will be very low for the company. After a crucial number of communes is created, the capitalist market will collapse, for it won't be able to cope with the new prices and the new competitiveness circumstances! Also, in commune people respect SOLIDARITY and EQUALITY! All people work for same salary and produce for better of community. That is the best thing which group of people can do. Community will grow and salaries will be higher and higher because there will be many fruits of labor, for all and for free.
Furthermore, through the communes a new weapon-distribution system is going to be organised for emergency situations.
One people! One army!

workers of the world unite!
Would love to see the socialist movement gather steam to form a strong Red Army (militarily speaking) That should be quite an organised army methinks.

Got a vote from the USA!
So basically you say that people will have to go 2-clicking for a minimum wage and then what? Isn't that a very boring way of playing eRepublik?
This is Communisim and provides a threat to eIndia if power falls into the wrong hands.
@BroodRoosterNL, not if you value the other aspects of the game, plus it can be set up where you are able to obtain the goods that you produce for free. So you make them, and you use them. Think of it as a crafting option in eRepublik. I worked for a commune in the US for most of my eLife and up before I left I was getting a unit of q3 food for every day I worked along with my pay, plus I had access to free moving tickets, weapons, and gifts. Whats wrong with that?
lordRajindia ... empty rhetoric without substance sounds quite silly. There i sno threat ferom socialism of any kind...there is however a threat from PTOers who are trying to be oversmart.
So...focus on what is important and if you do not subscribe to socialism, then can it.
so you want communism... but what if someone works with low wellness? the same donations? not fair. so maybe: better work=better salary? NO! - cos its capitalism 😛
Vincent I'm not saying there's anything wrong with it, but if you ask me eRepublik is getting very boring if you get anything you want while the only thing you have to do is work daily. Tbh I think that this kind of communes make the people in it blind and deaf to what's happening around them, as it's very easy to just get lost in the easy life and don't look at the world around you at all. And that gives the PTO'ers a great chance to take us over. We need to be alert all the time.
no vote, no support, gl
@BroodRoosterNL, on the contrary, I believe communes help you focus more on politics and the social aspect of eRepublik. You don't HAVE to be a two clicker in a commune, you can work every day and participate in the media, and your political party, as I and many of my comrades have done. The US military uses communes very efficiantly to produce free weapons for their soldiers.
I dare say communist/socialist parties are the most organized and active in eRepublik.
With communes you are provided with the goods you create for free and you don't have to worry about buying food everyday, etc....
@Batreh, communes provide free gifts, so wellness for commune workers are always high, why would you need a salary when you get everything you need for free? All your salary is is a portion of the value of your goods according to the market, and then you have to go and buy the goods you created back, with your compensation for your labor, in order to survive. This is exploitation. Communes give players the option to participate in the consumer/product relationship differently, and it is my belief, more efficiantly and fairly.
Very interesting. However, i like the way red om is functioning. And something tells me that it is an excellent growth model for newcomers, but isn't all that feasible for the more experienced, and thus, dare i say, more ambitious lot.
but then again, they can have their own li'l commune.
I would, however, suggest not to go about demolishing capitalism, per say. So, an experience limit for the social communes, say, red nurseries, after which players can get into the big bad world.
communes have grown extensive in the past in certain countries, so Red nurseries is hardly accurate........
I see it as an alternate way to experience eRepublik. If by ambitious you mean players who seek to own more, then I have to say you are correct, that type of player isn't ideal for our movement anyway, because we want the workers to own more collectively, take ownership away from the individual and give it to the masses.....
on the other hand, communes have been used for noob player "nurseries"
a commune is a tool and can be used in more ways than one, I assure you that is not our method of use, but helping newer players along can be a kind of co-existing objective I believe,
we have ALL of the workers in mind 😃
Communes have proven to be unarguably great as far as keeping wellness high and keeping food in player's inventories, (yes, even higher grades of food) they have also been used to produce free moving tickets (you have to admit that is useful) and weapons to be distributed to party militias during deployment
I'm not saying you HAVE to be a 2-clicker, but it does stimulate 2-clicking and lazyness in my eyes. Yes communes may be a good way of growing our new guys, but then it should be extended to political and military training camps and next to that you need everyone to like the idea. I for example don't like it if I can't control my own actions. Things like working, doing a job and earning money for it you can spend the way you want yourself is something a lot of people value. If all this can be done for you that's great, but in the end you can't decide where and when you spend your own money.
But I see there's a difference coming up in this discussion. So I'd like to ask you, are we talking about the whole country living in communes 'n stuff. Or are we talking about growing our new guys in a safe and healthy condition and teaching them how to play the game, while the experienced players do whatever they do like we're doing now?
