"Potz Blitz
Erkenne Dich Selbst
Finde Das Mass
Tu Was Du Willst
Potz Blitz
Bis Ans Ende Der Welt
Potz Blitz
Was Das Zeug Hält

Auf Gedeih Und Verderb
Auf Teufel Komm Raus
Jenseits Von Gut Und Böse
Grosse Fahrt Voraus

Letzter Vorstoss
Die Grenzen Des Seins
Nichts Ist Umöglich
Selbstbestimmt Ganz Allein

Nothing Is impossible
Self-determination, all alone."

Welcome to an era of post-statism. The few stanzas are from a great song from KMFDM but in a way really relevant. In eRepublik, the state is for the most part, meaningless. In the past, there is a correlation to the "eLand" but now it is for the most part detached. As many already knows that when you are wiped off the map, the state continues and elections minus congress will continue as normal. The total detachment of the governing body and that of the land shall hints the era of post-statism and the meaningless state.

The modern eState is weak and is a bit archaic. With time it is a lot weaker for that of the days of old. While the state itself did not change but the context of the game and the rules of the game changed greatly so that at times I question what is the function of the state. In the past the stakes were higher and the purpose is clear. You can use the Ward argument of flag and honor etc, but this is not true anymore for there is no stakes at all. The ideas of the military is pointless for the idea of boundaries and the state is pointless. Tactics and the desire for survival is pointless for there is a lack of context of danger and risk. In the end, the state is pointless and it is meaningless.

In the past, there was a purpose and meaning. States fight to survive. States compete for survival and vital economic reasons but this is far from the truth. States do not die and the idea of national economics is mostly inexistent. Companies are not tied down to the land but to the citizenship and the concept of the state is mostly gone.

If we look at the state of today, it lost a lot of the original meanings of the past. While the things they do did not change much but what is of importance now is not land base but on economic policy only. The difference between the German state and the Polish state is mainly the economic policies and the benefit it relates to. For there is no threats anymore, the idea of being eGerman or ePolish lies more in the economic benefits I want than other factors.

In the post-statist world, we see the rise of nongovernmental communities, NGC's. People are no longer tied down to the state. The state is meaningless and is no longer if importance. The NGC's in the forums of militias as well as just groups of friends are the new source of relevant structure. For NGC's have more flexibility and is has a stake much more than the original state. For it is the community that drives passions where the action is. If we look in the eBelgian situation, it is for the most part a conflict of NGC's. Political factions while some are part of the state but the community itself is not the state or is in the state at different stages, base on ideologies and interest are fighting for influence. However, while one is bound to the state, the other is not. I would say that in the end, the state is meaningless to both sides for ego sadly trumps policies and in the end community trumps state. Communities are the driving force and like many NGC from Bad Company to the BAF etc, they move due to political or economic reasons and while they might be active in their native community and forums etc, they are not bounded from it. In the forum of Bad, it is a NGC with a foundation of different national communities and can move about base on needs and interest of the NGC.

" KEEP PUSHING ME OVER AND OVER, OVER AND OVER AGAIN
FOLLOW THE BEACON OUR LADY LIBERTY STANDS FOR NONE
IT’S A VICIOUS WORLD EATING HER OWN IN THE NAME OF LOVE
BLOOD BLOOD BLOOD LIKE RAIN
BLOOD BLOOD BLOOD LIKE RAIN"

The state is meaningless and the community is everything. I would address the issues of the eBE civil war which I think relates greatly to the meaningless state. The health of the national community is important for like in eGermany, the state for the most part is a joke. What makes eGermany and eBE etc great is the community. The real strength of any nation is that of the community and not the state. For in eGermany, the state is rather weak but in the end, the community "for most of the time" will pull itself up in hard times. It is never about the state solely. When eGermany had a civil war of sorts, one of the NGC pack their bags and left. On the national community point of view, it as highly detrimental.

eBelgium is small. The key point is that NGC's does not need the state but the state needs their NGC's. The national communities needs NGC's and NGC's needs a home base. If the issues and wards are not address, the result is the decline of both the state and the national communities for NGC's will relocate. In the end, this is now a game of friends and of small social communities and network. I think the concept of the state has declined to a state of nothingness. The real threats to the state is not that of the land or the economy for it does nothing for it does not touch the state nor its community directly. Some might make less moneys but that is really nothing. The real war and threat to nations is the rotting from within. One must recognize the ideas of post-statism to understand the real damagers of the state and the nation.

Welcome to the era of post-statism. Where communities are mobile and nationalities meaningless. Where ideologies, communities and interest are the main focus. In the era of post-statism also means that the idea of nationalism is waning as well. While not so much as the state, but nationalism is also for the most part, meaningless. While there are some who still cling to it and still follow the statist game, but is it nothing more than a spectre of the old? Maybe it is dependent on the state we are talking about for eBE, I would say they lost focus on the main picture. I think president MG is one who follow the statist game and fell victim to the same thing that happened to Nixon in RL. The state for the most part does nothing and is meaningless and the state and the national community should do everything in their power to consolidate and to promote new NGC's or just new people to the community.

The real war in the post-statist world is not that of tanks and fights. It is the competition the national communities for NGC's or foreign individuals. eRepublik is a game base on numbers and while most states focus mainly on battles, smaller states' real battle is to expand on the societal level. While there might be risk to that proposition but this is the only way. Baby booms is not enough. NGC's are base on friends and ideologies, different ideas and perspectives are key in growth and progress. It is why cities in RL are the center of great developments and progress and not in the potato fields in Idaho. Therefore, both BTA and the BC should get some kind of state funding, The amount is up to debate.
