Post-Election Interviews with CptChazbeard, jny123 and Blue and Evil

Day 1,935, 08:34 Published in United Kingdom United Kingdom by Matthew.Cox

Sorry this has been published a bit late, but had to wait for all the responses to be in, obviously. So the interviews were like this: I sent a message to each candidate after the election with a list of seven questions.

The responses were as follows:
-CptChazbeard
1. Are you happy with YOUR result in the CP election?
Hell no. I desperately wanted the treasury gold and even had a buyer lined up for my medal. It also showed a worrying lack of completely bonkers players who’d be willing to vote for a gobshite who hasn’t achieved anything in the game.

2. What difference do you think Blue and Evil winning will make?
Obviously as the Spamicans have been kept from power the eUK is doomed and hurtling towards a massive failure. The game? You lost it eUK.
The major change will be more drab men in grey suits firing red tape out of their arses while muttering “This is good for you. We know what we are doing” in a dreary monotonous tone.

3. What does the way people voted mean for the future of eUK politics?
That alcohol and drug consumption is at dangerously low levels. If we’re going to ape RL politics then we really should be following suit and get embroiled in scandals. I for one regularly sleep with my male secretary despite being heterosexual; I’m willing to take to put in the hard work...are my rivals?
Also; unfortunately most of my supporters aren’t really capable of using a computer efficiently and didn’t get past the log on screen. So I do feel the votes don’t necessarily represent the batshit crazies of the game.

4. What would you change about your electoral campaign if you were to stand again?
I’ve identified losing as the number one factor in us not winning. I know now, after 2 losses, that people want srs politics. So, if the Spamicans run again, we will publish the greatest manifesto ever seen, win, then turn around and go “Hoho, only joking”. We’ll proceed to loot the treasury and leave the eUK looking like a hurricane has hit.

5. What do you think the eUK will miss out on as a result of (sorry, horrible wording ahead) your loss?
Major improvements in foreign, domestic, military and financial affairs plus a massive baby boom. It’ll also miss out on me banging out a crappy article every week, drunkenly ranting in the feeds and it now has to be content with being safe in the knowledge nothing mental of great proportions will be happening or the treasury going walkies.

6. What are your predictions for Blue and Evil's term in office?
That it’ll run smoothly and things may, depending on how much influence his backing parties wield, become more formal with focus on more legislative matters. I have a premonition that his term will come to an end around the 5th of next month and he may or may not run again.

7. Has this election changed how you think about the eUK population or eUK politics?
Nah. Still the same bunch feckwits I always thought they were but I do see politics as srs business now. Veray, veray serious. I’m even getting myself castrated and lobotomised tomorrow in an attempt to get more involved.

8. Anything else?

1. i am happy with the result. i didnt expect much due to my late entry of the election. this was my first time running as CP and i was not fully aware of how to go about it. i would like to thank my party for letting me run at such short notice.
2. i think that this will be quite a different term. for a few months now we have had CPs from UKPP but now we have UKRP so there should be some radical changes coming along and no doubt some great debates. no doubt there shall be some bitterness from the losing side but we must learn to accept these defeats like we did when we were occupied by 3 enemies less than a year ago. we must ensure that who ever the winner we all get behind them and work together for a great month, regardless of parties.
3. i can mean many things. firstly that the parties that are regarded as "new" have lost some support due to not succeding in a 4th term and that "old" parties have regained support. this could prove to be a turning point in uk politics. we must see now how the next month pans out and the future election
4. i would have liked more time but i only really stood because our 1st candidate had to drop out unfortunatly. however i think i did what i could under the circumstances and would love to be part of it again.
5. 100 mistakes. other than that i cant think of much. my policies would have been fullfilled where they could and it would have turned out to be a quiet month no doubt with the odd training war perhaps.
6. i have no idea. other than some opposition from the "new" parties i cant really say.
7. it has i think. but im not sure how... bit odd really

The questions had to be slightly adjusted for Blue and Evil, and these are the questions he was asked and how he responde😛
1. Are you happy with YOUR result in the CP election?
2. What difference do you think Blue and Evil's victory will make?
3. What does the way people voted mean for the future of eUK politics?
4. What would you change about your electoral campaign if you were to stand again?
5. What are your main plans and what are the main benefits citizens of the eUK will benefit from under your rule?
6. Has this election changed how you think about the eUK population or eUK politics?

1. Yes! When you look at the numbers, I had the second largest amount of party support, so it was going to be an uphill struggle, but taking the top spot shows that party numbers don't mean everything.

2. Over the past few months, we've seen Presidents who have made a lot of noise about being elected, and then are never heard from again. Not so with me. With me, it's all about information and education, and I intend to bring a heavy helping of both to the nation through the national newspapers.

3. I'm not sure. I had hoped it would show that the nation was willing to work together when it came to the executive government, and disregard party flags for the sake of the nation as a whole at that high table. However, since my election I've had NE and UKPP members threatening to impeach me, and the UKPP PP locking me and my MoH out of the NHS database, which he inexplicably had ownership of. It saddens me to admit it, but it looks like we can't work together as a nation, and the only result that can come of this is a weaker country.

4. I didn't want to lead a negative campaign - which would have been the easy route, since Goku has a lot of history, most of it bad. Whilst I was true to my ideal and made my campaign only about what I could achieve, some of my supporters were only interested in flinging mud. If I could do it all again, I would try to get my supported to be more civil, and instead promote why I'm so good, not why Goku was so bad.

5. As I said above, Information and Activity. Although it sounds like an odd thing to say, I don't care about the election, I care about the Presidency, and going forwards, I intend to leave a positive effect on the UK with a month of activity.

6. It's instilled in me a fear of politics 😒
I've been around for quite a while, contributing, being a credit to the nation and basically being a good guy. It's only since I ran for election I've found waves of people who are apparently my enemies 😒

I also plan to do some pre-CP election interviews next month and (if the CP interviews are successful) congressional ones perhaps. If anybody would like to get involved, be it helping to devise questions or organise a congressional interview, then don't hesitate to contact me!
