- Bangkok - The new eThailand congress, comprising of many well-known dignitaries and some new faces, has been sworn in today after one of the fiercest election races in the eThai history.

40 candidates, from four parties and five regions, have formed the congress that would last from December 26, 2008 to January 25, 2009. The TNT party has captured the most seats with 17 congressmen, followed by TRP with 11 seats, Sabai Unity Party with seven, and Nobelis with five.

Included in the new congress are some of the best-known figures in eThailand including former president Jack Roberts, TNT party president Antonio Salgado, TRP leader Ealb, and SUP leader Guy Kilmore.

Other members are mostly old faces who have served in a previous congress, including Wisdom (TRP), SpeedKing (TRP), Legendario (TNT), and FBO87 (TNT), all of whom third-timer statesmen.

New faces do make it the congress too, most notably Splash_OS (TNT) who receives the most votes and Vectoor (TRP) who currently has the highest experience points in the country.

Among the 15 candidates who failed to grab a congress seat are Nobelis party president ImperadorT and satirist Tom "Joe Blow" Vousielle (SUP).

Lastly but not the least, TRP member and former congressman Ziper holds the distinction of being the only candidate who did not receive a single vote. He did not make it to the congress.
