Phantom Duck : My childhood’s hero!
A few years passed since I was a child. As every child, I had “my own superhero”. Here in Greece we call him “Phantom Duck”!!
The creator of this character was Carl Barks. He is a comic book-costumed vigilante and Donald Duck's alter ego. Donald originally created this superheroic alter-identity to secretly seek revenge upon relatives such as Scrooge McDuck and Gladstone Gander, but he soon found himself fighting other menaces.
As a child, I used to search every story of him. He was not actually a superhero, but an anti-hero vindicator. He was a heroic avenger who was targeting the criminal population of Duckburg, in particular the Beagle Boys. This still remains his main mission today, although he occasionally faces higher profile adversaries and finds missions which require him to travel away from Duckburg.
