Perrins Third Attempt For Texas!

Salutations, for those of you who don't know me I am Perrin. I am a true Texas native and a proud member of the United Independents Paty. A bit about my personal life. I currently attend the worlds greatest university Sam Houston State University and am a history major on his way to starting his masters next year. I'm also a Christian and enjoy religious studies and debate. But enough about real life. This is a game and this is my platform!

Philosophy
I am one of those people who believe in the strength of the eUS. I firmly believe we can "win" the game by setting achievable goals that can reasonably be achieved within the current game mechanics. Whether its becoming the worlds greatest economic power, or having the most well organized military, or having the most land, or having the nicest looking Congress, or just being totally awesome; I feel that by setting goals we will have a target to focus our skills on and shoot for. I try not to bring personal values into the game like being anti-war or anti-whatever because it has no real place in a game, but I am totally against the mistreatment of others through harsh words language or underhanded tactics such as PTOs against the helpless. I'm cool using them against PEACE however.

HOSPITAL
It has been 2 months since my first run for Congress and I have learned a lot. One thing I learned is that Texas is not getting a Q5 any time soon. We have a Q4 and congress imply can not justify spending that kind of money. Ascend tried to propose it and was shot down immediately in the forums. With the peace treaty with eMexico passed the likelihood of a new hospital is even less likely or necessary. Texas will get a Q5 one day but it will not be this month.

PARTISAN SMARTISAN
As a member of a United Independent Party I don't have to, and will never be asked, to vote along some sort of party line. That is something I think no other party can say! We are an association of Independents and I promise that the only partisanship I will show is that of getting Texas what it needs to succeed!

TAXES/BUDGET
Taxes, especially Import Taxes, have become a huge issue over the past few weeks. Several Import Taxes were dropped to 1% and it has been a big controversy on the boards ever since. If you haven't noticed, prices on just about everything have been fluctuating up and down. I'm not a member of Congress currently but I have been taking part in some of the debates on the open forum and have been attempting to find compromises between Congress members on the issue. Taxes will be my biggest focus if I am elected. They must be corrected. A new voice of moderation is needed on the Congressional Forums and that is mine.

FOREIGN POLICY
As a congressman I would of course stay active in keeping up with our MPPs and would vote to keep those active with all our present allies and our new ones.
I would love to be on the new FRAC committee that is heading up the Alliance building process, and not only because of all the great BSG jokes I could make.
Alliance building is a huge personal goal I hope to accomplish for the eUS. I want to use my experience in Congress to strengthen foreign relations.
I feel beyond the alliance building process we need good relations with those on our borders like eMexico. I applaud the closing of the war with eMexico and would not support any action towards them. I want to be able to project our power in the world..not take over weak allies next door.

MILITARY/WARGAMES
I support both. I support the new budgets expenditures on the military, and I would support President Scrabman in any action he took in order to prolong the War Games as long as possible!

I am an officer in 2nd Division 8th Platoon of the National Guard and would remain so through my time as Congressman. This is a big responsibility and I take it seriously and am very active. Seeing that I have had responsibility in the past I think this makes me a good candidate for the future.

I'm also in the Air Force and am active in defending against PTO's amongst our allies. I am so dedicated to this fact that I pledge that I will not cast a vote in favor of myself this election. I will be moving to a foreign nation in order to protect against PTO's from PEACE.
