Pens and Swords: Military and foreign affairs manifesto

In this manifesto, I shall detail my goals for the country in the matters of domestic and foreign affairs.


Foreign Affairs: friends and foes : Our foreign affairs initiatives are pretty much well set at the moment in the world. we are committed allies of phoenix, and we will continue to be. In my administration, we will not only remain committed, but we will take on a leadership position within the alliance, voicing our concerns and our opinions within the inner halls of phoenix. I will assign a special envoy to phoenix, who will represent us to the best of their abilities in the alliance.



On our relations with France and other Entente countries: We will not be afraid to help our friends and allies in the Entente, but at the same time, we are a Phoenix First nation, and will prioritize the needs of our phoenix allies over our entente friends.



We will treat our enemies as we have in the past, and we shall not negotiate with enemies of our allies without first consulting the phoenix alliance. We will also focus on using the power of the embargo more often, as imports and trade are heavily important to our enemies, and denying them that trade whenever possible is a powerful thing indeed.


The military machine, keeping what works working:
I have long been an advocate of the well oiled military machine, and I am of the opinion that if it isn't broken why fix it. I will not be employing a new minister of defence/minister of war, and will remove myself from the process of picking a new CGS, instead leaving up to the military leadership to pick the next CGS. I believe that the military should be completely detached from political action, and in my opinion a minister of war/defence only serves to politicize the armed forces.



I will also leave the military full autonomy on the matter of structure, as the people inside the military quite often if not always know best how to make it effective. However, I will take an active roll in planning any and all military operations involving the UK, and I will not be afraid to make tough decisions regarding the military, with the best interests of the UK public kept in mind. I will also increase the military advertising budget, and start rounds of military advertisement using the in-game advertisement functions. The military shall continue to work with the ministry of technology to create new and improve existing API technologies. These Technologies will not only make the jobs of our dedicated commanders easier, but will also help to keep our military an effective fighting force.



I believe an aggressive yet honest foreign affairs position, Combined with an effective and active military will set our place today, tomorrow, and forever.
