Peer-Reviewed News

Day 1,264, 05:20 Published in United Kingdom United Kingdom by Llort Zakharov
All good things in this world are peer-reviewed. Take decent scientific studies – all peer reviewed to ensure accuracy, consistency and to remove any gaping holes in the study. Homeopaths, as an example of the opposite, avoid peer-reviews as though they’re the plague – and I assure you, anyone worth the air they’re breathing does not accept the validity of that nonsense.

I feel I have a public service to offer. I am going to fish out the homeopaths of our writing community, and subject them to my review. Since I am such an open and honest person, I invite them to do the same, so please, wear the appropriate safety material, strap yourself in and get ready to torture your feeble mind.

At #3 is the somewhat fascinating paper by FriedRice. It’s deliciously bad, but there’s a noticeable increase in quality between say... http://www.erepublik.com/en/article/active-media-o-1651131/1/20 and http://www.erepublik.com/en/article/friedrice-pp-for-ulj-a-tad-bit-early--1758181/1/20. This paper largely consists of pictures of “lolies", which appear to be young children anime characters, accompanied by general filler material. I suppose his heart’s in the right place – eJapan seems to consist largely of people that are interested in that sort of material.

Examining FriedRice’s profile, we find that the “United Lolies of Japan” (I wish I was kidding.) party has somehow managed to accumulate fifty of the buggers, with a significant 26.32% of congress under the command of a diabolical paedoph- Wait, nevermind, I’m not Fox News. (Editor’s Note: Feel free to change this to The Daily Mail if you’re not familiar with the rather obtuse, fearmongering style of broadcast Fox News offers.)

The second newspaper I will review is the undeniably peculiar paper entitled “The Changing World”, written by the aptly named “pokeman”. I really don’t know what this guy’s thinking, but the article I’m thinking about introduces the idea of a unified Korea – and he seems to think that if he can put together a large enough movement, a similar change will occur in real life. On the basis of an eRepublik revolution, of all things.. Pokeman has since transferred to the eUK, which I find incredibly scary. Here’s how that article must’ve gone down in his min😛

At number one, and with a spot that is simply impossible to obtain by anyone else is the universally creepy paper known as “The Way of Pain”. Run by Hitoshi Makoto, this paper is essentially a summary of various lesbian anime pornography (No, seriously.) as well as some fairly decent political articles.

I don’t actually mind the guy, but a good third of his articles consist of “U CANT ANGR ME, TROLLS” or alternatively “Goddamn you anger me, trolls!”. I just don’t know what to make of it, but the best word to summarise it is ‘surreal’; In his latest article, he has something of a meltdown akin to that of Howard Beale in the film ‘Network’, albeit with a bit more bitter and a bit less genuine MAD. In said rant, he threatens to “track down your IP addresses, you go to jail, and it hits the news. I don't want it to get there. So you will stop, and you will talk to me directly with your problems for me.”. Consider this a direct attempt to talk to you.

What’s scary about this entire paper is that he has written, wait for it, 45 pages worth of articles. That’s right. 45 pages of pornographic review and zzz. It’s like a somewhat overextended blog written by the wrong head.

In closing, thank you all those that have subscribed. I’ve finally passed the 100 mark, which gave me the self-entitlement necessary to write an article slagging off other people.

To those I’ve reviewed, all I can say is:

(In other news, Vadigor has concocted a smashing article. Read it here)
