3/23/2012: Peace for Israel

S: 6:42pm

Over the last couple days, I have been noticing and reading a lot of divisions and bitter disputes within eIsrael. While it is good to be honest with ourselves and where our country is heading, we need to, after all is said and done, be unified on a common purpose. It is for this reason that I decided to write this article. I want to share my viewpoints on where eIsrael, the country I fight for, should go.

Above all, I desire peace for Israel. I think this is what everyone expects from us. If it is possible, as far as it depends on us, we should avoid making enemies. We should be humble and content with what we already have.

A note on enemies: I learned that our enemies may not be our enemies forever and our friends may not be friends forever. Case in point: I remember before, eTurkey was our bitter enemy. She attacked and occupied all our territories. However, it was also eTurkey, when she joined EDEN that helped liberate our lands. Another example, more recently, is eBulgaria. I’ve always had fond feelings for eBulgaria and it’s very sad that she joined the dark side. Today, she is at war with eGreece (http://www.erepublik.com/en/wars/show/18320).

Friends are not friends forever and enemies are not enemies forever. We need to have the wisdom to learn this and face reality. We need to let bygones be bygones and help eTurkey.

As with the issue of conquering more land for eIsrael, I believe it is not a good idea. Tensions, in RL, are already running high in the Middle East and I think it is best for eIsrael to be peaceful. I understand some players believe RL and eRepublik should not mix but the fact remains that the eRepublik world and our RL world are somehow exactly the same. If the map in eRepublik is some colony in Mars or another “brave new world,” I would be all for gaining land for eIsrael. However, right now is not the best time. Our actions here can send off a wrong message.

Peace be upon Israel. Psalms 125:5b
