Party Presidential Election Summary

Day 543, 07:01 Published in Canada Canada by Adasko

So another month has passed, and once again, We have cast our ballots in the elections for Party Presidents. Last time, I wrote an article in the middle of them. This time The Spiral brings you the post-election summary, written by Adasko, self-proclaimed prime Pole of eCanada.

The Summary is sorted by party rankings, just to be clear.

Canadian Social Democrats

If anyone wanted a thrill in the PP's, one thing is sure, they got it! 24 hours ago (6:00 eRep time), dabman was leading 36-12 over Trenton, and nothing seemed to be able to stop him. He was just coming out to his supporters conference, with a prepared speech, when Trenton's supporters have woken up. The big screen showed the new score 49-47 for Trent, and dabman's voters stood in silence surprised. A silent "What the f...?" escaped dabman's mouth, when he looked at the scoreboard. It is rumored that Zanalan fainted right behind dabman (who at the time was swearing around a disabled microphone), after seeing Trent's comeback. Trent later took the lead all the way home, winning 77-66. Oh... And Augustus Baldwin got 20 votes, which surely inflicted his ego in some way... However, We still don't know which way. On the CSD's closing list, panda_drew with 5 votes, and tidder with a huge vote count of 0. What does this mean? A new direction for the CSD with Trent, who's not one of Zanalan's followers. Let's see what will it be.

Canadian Empire Party

The CEP has once again proved, that even marcchelala's media power, can beat Bruck's Cult of Personality. The Canadian President smashed marcch with a huge win of 155-28, which cause marcch to offer 10 kg of real gold per vote on IRC. At least he got more votes than last time, though.

Progressive Party of Canada

The PPC wasn't the battle of Joey Phillips, and Alias Vision We expected it to be. 1ronman put his name in the ballot at the last moment, as did an Hungarian TOer, Netfalo. At first, the battle was a three way tie, with Joey Phillips, Netfalo, and 1ronman all going for the win. However, as the TO news progressed, and Joey Phillips gained the lead, 1ronman dropped out of the race, staying below twenty votes. The rest of the race was a fight between Canada and Hungary, which was finally resolved with an anti-TO force voting Joey Phillips all the way to 65 votes, with our lovely Hun invader staying at 31. A definite surprise was Alias Vision getting only 5 votes, placing second to last with Bobby Stirton at last place, with two nice little votes. So what does this mean? The founder of the PPC is back in the lead, now, will the PPC go back to it's former power?

Parti National du eQuebec

If anyone could beat the CSD in an thrilling electoral race, it surely would be the PNQ, with Miloslav, fighting against Miloslav, and Miloslav. And my God it was close! Miloslav tied with Miloslav and Miloslav with 46 votes apiece, and Miloslav won by exp.

The Canadian Paradox Party

Well... This is personal! Tom Hagen won with 30 votes, over Adasko (yes I like talking about myself in third person) with 11 and Cesar Augustus, with 10. However, it is rumored, that Cesar won so much votes with his free salad offer. Anyway, congrats for Tom, the loser salutes you. 🙂

Democratic Action League

Similarily to the PNQ, Scorpius, who was de facto President, under David Eastcorner, had a huge fight with his other identities, the Superhero Pinball Wizard, and the FSM's Prophet. Despite the three way tie at 21, Scorpius won by being real.

Canadian Libertarian Party

Now here's a new cult of personality! Rowlock's crushed Toby with 20 votes to 1. Nothing changing in the Libertarians I guess. I'd like to see Rowlock's campaign succeeding though. 100 members, 100 votes in the Presidentials, good luck.

C.H.A.O.S

What can I say? Gabriel Savorious with a chaotic win over nobody! 4 votes were cast.

Now the PP elections in numbers:
