Party... party.... where is the party! :)

Hello again..

First a recap on my last article...

It was heartening to know that I didn't just have a smelly nose after all 😛 Something WAS fishy! *pats his nose* It's good to have a good nose, don't u think 😉

Here is another related observation. Only one of the two blood-brothers got 'da kick'. One wonders if one was smelly, the other would be too! After all they had been together all along 🙂

One plausible reason could be that the focus of this election was to get Mr Hammas the party leadership and probably the other party didn't get into the limelight. The people at helm of affairs know it better than me that even one PTO'r can create havoc!

I'd leave it to that...

Now, on to the next observation (btw, no i am not in GEO, though i have a feeling i would do well with 'em 😉

Lately there has been a trend of choosing party names very close to that of RL parties in Pakistan. This could be (and has been) a source of friction among ePakistanis. We should remember that we have a very small population and we cannot afford to have any friction among our citizens. While we all may have very strong affiliation with a certain party RL, it'd be wise, in my opinion, to keep that affiliation out of the game.

A case in point is that of Mr Khurram. I saw him very active during the presidential campaign for PP and it was heartening to see his vigour. But when there was news (rumour ?) of the name changing to 'Tehreek e Insaf', he was pretty vocal about his dislike towards TeI. Now, the question arises, what advantage, if any, can PP get from changing its name to TeI and more so, is that advantage worth losing a staunch supporter like Mr Khurram?

I cannot answer that... only those in PP know best.

Recently there was another change in party name to 'PML'. Although one could say the acronym stands for something different, but the party symbol and the letters PML evince undeniable affiliation of party president towards RL PML.

Whether it's worth the friction it might cause or not, let the leadership and party members decide... I am here to give my take on that.

My advice would be to keep our RL political affiliations out of the game. Maybe eUS or some big countries can afford that. But they have huge populations and they can afford some unwarranted dislike. We as ePakistanis, with our active population of around 100, sure cannot.

Besides i LOVED the names 'Pro Pakistani' and 'Where's the Party' !.. didn't you 🙂

Till the next time...

P.S I would LOVE my fellow countrymen be critical of my views. I thrive on criticism (constructive or otherwise). Besides having everyone agree is rather boring 😛
