PANDAing for the HOPE for Peace!

Day 2,037, 15:59 Published in Belgium Belgium by Konrad Neumann

I really wish that one day we can embrace HOPE/PANDA with open arms. I really do. Conflict of this nature is not healthy for the community as a whole. I have no problem with different opinions on most issues. They can have a different opinion about the economy. They can have a different opinion about MU's. They can have a different opinion about "Boost Your Strength"/ Citizen Packs program which aids a new players of eBE. This is politics and I love politics. I would love to engage in a debate with these serious issues and I enjoy seeing and being in debates.

For me, I see HOPE/PANDA as a threat not because of the difference stated above. For me, it is a single issue that I find problematic. They insist in the open border idea. They seek to grant citizenship to all people regardless of the person's intent, history, or motive. This is extremely problematic as people who wants to PTO eBE have a free means to do it. For those who do not understand what PTO (Political Takeover) is, it is when groups of people move to a country and with time secure enough political seats (illegitimate) to take control of the country against the host country's will. This is something that I cannot stand for.

We live in a democratic/ polyarchical society that there are rules to the game. Our community has its own laws, norms, and traditions that maintains us. It takes care of us. It maintains order and aids many new and old players alike. We have immigration laws that reviews each applicant before we accepts or rejects them. We want to get to know each applicant a little better before we grant them CS. It might not prevent all the bad seeds from getting in, but we aim to reduce the chance of PTO's as much as possible. NO ONE HERE IS PUSHING FOR CLOSED BORDERS!!!! Many eBelgians including myself are immigrants. We want smart immigration that gets to know each applicant and to accept trust worthy citizens while turning back PTOers. I personally do not think this is a radical position to have.

I really hope that HOPE and PANDA members to really take a look at themselves and think the Open Door Policy that they pushed. They talked about oppression and fairness but it is them who impose a constant PTO threat on the community. If you truly have a difference in opinion about other stuff like MU funding, BYS etc you should engage in a debate about it. Even if your position did not win popular support, you should respect the will of the community and try to think of new reasons in debate to win support for your views. Breaking community laws and standards via PTO to gain a political advantage is really low and dishonest. It only creates resentment and will mobilize your rivals.

So I beseech you to stop this open door policy. You are free to debate and to conduct in proper and civilize debate. There is no need to cheat via PTO's. I think most of us would love to embrace you with open arms but this Open Door Policy must stop. Not because we fear you but we fear that you will let in people that both you and me cannot stop. Lets end this feud and try to live in peace.
