PANAM and what it really is

*Note this article does not reflect the entire eCanada's feeling on PANAM just my own.
O.K. so we've all heard St Krems' idea for PANAM an alliance which focuses mainly on the Americas but excatly what is PANAM?
Is it a third alliance to Counter Phoenix and EDEN?
An alliance netrual in the EDEN/Phoenix war?
An aliiance of countries tired of European wars?
Which is it?
Well first let's look at the countries that recieved the charter.
USA
Canada
Japan
Brazil
Also Spain and France where approached with the question of joining PANAM
And the fact that St Krems proposed that Argentinian would be a language in the alliance suggesting that Argentina could be in the alliance.
Now if all these countries would join what would they have in common
Well Spain, France, Canada and Japan are bordering USA.
Brazil, USA, and Spain are in the top 10 countries by population
Canada, France and Argentina are in the top 20 countries by population
Now the Only countries left who share border with USA are Russia, Portugal, Taiwan and the U.K.
So is PANAM an alliance to close USA's borders
With this alliance the total number of citizens are 51063
I know we've been Bros with the US for a long time but its no reason for us to leave EDEN and suddenly join PANAM.
The countries that agreed to joined aren't countries we worked with. By doing this we are backstabbing our EDEN allies. preferably we should ally ourselves with USA but remain in EDEN. If Spain, and France why should we. So far no country has left EDEN recently unlike Phoenix which is unoffically dead. With EDEN we have a total population of 70000 citizens. Looking at the numbers we should remain with EDEN. Looking geographically PANAM shows most cdountries are in the same timezone meaning that when we're asleep at 4am there is noone to fight for us unless Spain and/or France join.

Who says we're backstabbing EDEN?
We're saying, "Thanks for all the good times, you've helped us, we've helped you...but We feel we have found an arrangement that more meets our personal needs as a country"
It's not like PANAM is at war with EDEN and we are being forced to choose sides...

You've pointed out some important flaws in the proposal, Chewytaz. Good eye!
It remains to be seen whether France or Spain join PANAM, Spain gets better protection in EDEN plus they have more friends in there, France might be put off my Canada's involvment in PANAM plus they may look to phoenix for a new alliance before looking at PANAM.
why do we have to leave eden to join panam ..

in rl we are members of the un and nato , the comonwealth ect ect ect .
.and have trade agreements with many nations at once .

@ crazy canadian guy: The mechanics of the game *could* become a problem. Suppose, for example, we and Brazil are members of PANAM, We are members of EDEN, but not Brazil. Suppose an EDEN member decides to invade Brazil, or Brazil decides to invade Spain. Who do we support? Also, if we happen to have MPP's with both nations, that could really mess up our MPP's, causing one or more to be erased.

Wilhelm: While that specific situation wouldn't occur (Brazil and Spain signed peace so they can look to other fronts), I see what you mean. However I don't think PANAM would conflict with EDEN often, if at all

I can't believe Indo would be invited. The world has truly gone mad. Everything's shifting. I wonder if it'll work out though. Some people in the same region can't be in the same alliance. Croatia, Serbia, Hungary and Romania for example. NOT gonna happen. 8\ This is going to be a very odd situation.

The fact that Argentinian has been proposed as a language of the alliance shows you the sort of level that the alliance is at.
(for any Americans reading this, Argentina speaks SPANISH, just like you, Canada, Aus and NZ speak ENGLISH)

Really John? Half of the RL US? Thats a pretty big group of people for such a small country. Granted hundreds of thousands moved in during the Potato Famine but still....Half?
Regardless, alliances can't be formed with complete equality in mind, we need to survive and we can't survive with half a dozen small countries athat are always being attacked.

No other charter member speaks Spanish. So we called the language Argentinian, since only they would be speaking it.
