Our New Allies Uruguay
atrawall
Many of you n00bs don't remember the Uruguay who was once our Ally.
I wasn't around for it, (n00b?) but Uruguay once fought for us.
When I was County President, our two countries had a falling-out of sorts. (To put it mildly)
What I will say, is throughout all the confusion and decorum and "WAR" Shouts coming from the citizens on both sides, the Uruguayan government led by the CP Leochao was always very kind to me. They were constantly trying to negotiate and make sure our War Games were fair. They were always rational and understanding. Even when I wasn't.
There was a lot of talk about the MPP destroying our current relationship with Brazil, but truly, Uruguay is a very loyal, proud country.
We have 9 Regions in eSA (though most of us are only familiar with 5 of them)
There are a growing number of us that are upset that our occupied regions are taken for granted, and that are upset to lose ANY of "OUR" Regions.
Think about this: Uruguay has ONE natural Region. Period. They have nothing to offer anyone to keep them alive. They were introduced into the eWorld with 10 congress seats, one region and no hope.
They have done a pretty solid job of staying alive against the odds. I saw them as small and weak, but they've proven time and time again how powerful they are.
This is a Country that we can learn from.
This is a Country that we can understand and work with.
This is a Country that we can mutually benefit and have an actual "Agreement" with.
Uruguay and South Africa: ALLIES.
Viva Uruguay!
Viva South Africa!

Oh, but I remember when your little war with Uruguay went wrong someone came calling out for eBR's help - and we gladly NE'd Uruguay to take your regions back from them, which in turn sparkled the whole Argentina/Brazil war that has been going on ever since.
I also found something funny on the uruguayan article...
"2- Nuestro enemigo numero uno es Brasil para los dos paises.
3- Este MPP no esta reconocido por el gobierno oficial de SA."
Kind of, except if we are going this route:
I remember that the "little war with Uruguay" was actually a way to help Brazil and Chile attack Argentina from another border, only, much like in the past, Brazil and Chile left South Africa to struggle on their own while they were busy elsewhere. Meanwhile, Argentina was fighting FULL-POWER for Uruguay...
Might have been a secondary objective, sure. But it started just as this month, a "training war"... btw, the real arg/br war only started mid-february, so yeah, eBR was fighting for real against Uruguay (:
Chilean? GTFO.
poor nW0lf always being mistaken for Chilean... He was Brazil MoF forever, lol, EDIT: Brazilian? GTFO. That being said, nW0lf is a voice of reason.
IMO no reasonable person could willingly apply for Chilean cs. : P
Its sort of a self-imposed exile because eBR's population kind of su**s.
Come to eSA!!! Or do you not like being ruled by your own kind?
We'll see how this plays out... who knows 😛
Thanks for the invite though.
Here we go !!!

Not the biggest ally, but we'll need all we can get when we go to war with Brazil.
Brazil will be... "busy" for a while. You guys have fun.
Good. If elected, I plan to get real cozy with Argentina and would like to coordinate our actions with that wonderful country. 😉

Heh, many of those who were calling for bloody war are now shouting praises of Uruguay. I approve of this alliance fully, of course. But it's still quite funny/worrying.
That was complacency taking the better of our emotions.
I believe this is a good move!
