Our first Party Conference

Last night the Independent Alliance held our first party conference and many things were discussed long into the night. The following was debated and voted upon by our attending members -



The agenda began with apologies from members who were unable to attend due to one reason or another. Their absences was noted and we hope to see them again next conference.

We then moved on to the draft constitution which had been created by the current Party President. Each section was deconstructed and discussed and alterations were made when the majority voiced whether certain sections needed editing or required additional details that would make the constitution more workable. A couple of notable discussions were the principals of members voting for their officers at each party conference, some may raise an eyebrow but it does cement our commitment to being the eUK's most democratic party.

Another interesting idea to be debated at the next conference was to allow our membership to decide the candidacy rankings of congress applicants. Again this ebbs the powers of the Party President but it does allow for complete transparency as well as giving every member a voice and a vote.

The constitution is available to all members who request it but will be uploaded to the official forums once we have enough members signing up. If this still hasn't been achieved one week before the next party conference, held on the 3rd of each month, then it will be uploaded to a temporary page with all members being provided with a link.



We then sat down to discuss our position on policies that effect the eUK. A link to the current tax levels was provided and we had a discussion on whether the party were for an increase or decrease of taxes. It was noted that some in the party would like to see a slight increase but the majority were satisfied with current levels.

The Independent Alliance agreed that we would not align ourselves with a Military Unit and would instead back recommendations on who the favoured Military Unit of the eUK Government is.

The party then held their officer elections and I am pleased to announce our full staff line up -

I am sure I speak on behalf of our party officials when I say we look forward to serving our members at the Independent Alliance.



As the night wore on and it became very late we had to wrap up the conference with a vote over our new party logo, many were put forward but the winning design that will represent the party is -

That is quite a humble amount of members in such a short space of time, we are proud to have you within the community.

Avatars are available to all members, I am using the current template but I am looking to create a few more for members to vote upon at the next conference on March 3rd at 8pm. The use of party avatars is purely down to each members choice.
