Our Current Prime Minister
Longbaugh
I think jamesw has turned out to be a pretty good Prime Minister.
He hasn't had the timely advantages that most Prime Ministers have had; like hot wars and the collapses of enemy alliances. However, he has still managed to insure that all of us exponentially level up with every passing day. It really isn't that complicated to grasp. He's only applied the ancient art of common sense.
You'd have to be loony (or a "British Patriot"
😉to think that we, the United Kingdom, would be best served by making terribly-drastic and permanent decisions this close to the launch of v2. Jamesw has essentially acted as our "executive liaison" into the apparently-awesome 3rd version of this glorious game. And no, he is not banging her—if that is what you are implying.
History might look back on jamesw's first administration as "easy" because of our somewhat pre-v2 stagnancy. However, I think it should be noted that jamesw's said stagnancy has served us well (and will pay many dividends once v2 is launched). He didn't overreach his bounds to try and force his name into the annals of the United Kingdom and he didn't just sit on his ass. He's kept us active, he's kept the national discussion active, he's kept us working, he's kept us learning, and he's kept us gaining XP in perpetuity.
All of this is in preparation for v2 and I, for one, am happy to conclude that jamesw is definitely in the "upper half" of UK Prime Ministers.
When it comes to our next Prime Minister, I stand by my month's-old philosophy that we need to be absolutely, fully, and completely prepared for v2 (which could launch any day now). The more prepared we are as a nation the more of an advantage we'll have over other nations; and at the most crucial time in the history of the New World. Consequently I think jamesw's successor should be the candidate who is the most prepared for leadership during such a terminal moment in our nation's history.
With that said, on Saturday I'll be voting for Dishmcds.

True.

Woldy is awesome
um...ok
@ Skillz88
"um...ok"
You're funny.
Why vote for Dish when he's said repeatedly he doesn't want it and is essentially only running as a 'filler' candidate for UKRP? It makes much more sense to back the guy who is actually running because they have plans for the country.
Think Different.
Think Digby.
@ Iain Keers
Dish is the best CP this country has ever seen. I'm not of the "we need new blood no matter what it costs" crowd (though I might have used to be).
We're about to vault into v2 and Dish is the best person to vault us into v2. It's really that simple. Both Woldy and Dish are equally-prepared and ready to be CP; no matter how much of a surprise their nomination is. They BOTH have plans for this country; and you know better than to play that card, Iain.
Woldy has been a great Prime Minister, but Dish is the best. This isn't that big of an election... OR decision. Dish is the man this time around. There isn't another Briton I'd feel more comfortable voting for than Dishmcds at this point in time (i.e,: immediately preceding v2).
Plus, isn't it Dish's turn on the wheel this time anyway??
I would agree Dish is a good CP- and unlike you I can say that from a position of experience having served alongside him and under him in a number of candidates. However that doesn't change what I said- perhaps read it again?-
"Why vote for Dish when he's said repeatedly he doesn't want it and is essentially only running as a 'filler' candidate for UKRP? It makes much more sense to back the guy who is actually running because they have plans for the country."
Dish is experienced but he didn't even want to run. Now he's basically running because UKRP had nobody else. I understand he will make an effort- he isn't a man to do things by halves- and having a good backup candidate is wise. However I don't know how active people can talk about backing him.
I don't think you can compare Woldy and Dish, it's like Apples and Pears. They have very different styles and talents. But that is again not the issue. Woldy has been preparing to run for weeks, and Dish has been dragooned in by a failing party and backed by Spectrum as an act of contingency representative of the continued jerk to the right that party is undergoing.
Mr woldy is the best option for the eUK 😃
You're not voting Digby?
RACIST
@Iain: "I don't think you can compare Woldy and Dish, it's like Apples and Pears."
I think you mean apples and oranges, because I can name a bunch of similarities between apples and pears.
I'm voting Dish, but either way whoever wins (Dish or Woldy) we are going to have a brilliant Prime Minister!
good article longbaugh
Dishmcds is awesome
This article is racialist.
@ Iain Keers
You couldn't even go one sentence without making a personal jab. I understand you have ministerial experience in our government because you've shined the right shoes, but you clearly have never learned any tact whatsoever.
2 points, though, for valiantly trying to inject left/right politics into all of this. Not to burst your bubble, but I and my party backed jamesw (TUP) last month and are backing Dish (UKRP) this month. It's not called "going to the right." It's called "being a non-partisan moderate."
You see, unlike you I don't ALWAYS back my party's endorsed candidate. I backed Karacticus (TUP) in March and then GLaDOS (UKRP) in April. As far as I'm concerned, that makes my opinion far more reliable than yours. Whereas I endorse the candidate I think will be the most successful for the given term, you just rubber stamp whomever is running under the TUP banner.
One would think you'd try and avoid once again justifying everything I've said about your party and the lot of its members. But, instead you opt for the typical TUP cabal response. You don't need to lose your lunch over the fact that I'm not backing your horse. Chill out City boy. Take a xanax or something; whatever you need.
*and breathe*
I SUPPORT WOLDYISM, DO YOU?
Support the hottest old Mexican around!
Support Dish!
Good article and voted
Does it really make any difference who wins? Im pretty sure a month under Dish or a month under Woldy would pretty much be almost identicle months in terms of what it means for the individual citizen, regardless of the upcoming v2.
But if Dish doesn't want it, then someone else should have it.

i guess Iain hasn't seen your replied comment, otherwise i would have to scroll down a bit more to see what actually happened
😛
@ pak_land
Touché. Check back, he'll live up to the hype.
WOOOOOOLDEEEEH!
I wish I could vote Woldy: oh wait, I CAN!
Good article, except the end of course
jamesw did a good job
Longbaugh: good post (the second one)
Yeh that's right Longbaw, I shined shoes to become Minister. Are you saying that I kissed up to GLaDOS and Dish as well? Because that's not very likely is it, really? I didn't even apply to cabinet most of those times, I got asked to help out and I did. Not in shiny ministries, in boring ones where nobody hears what you do. Perhaps you should learn something before you open your mouth? With your nil experience you should perhaps listen to what experienced members of government have to say before you mouth off about privilege and shoe shining.
OK- your party backed Jamesw. Craig dropped out. So really I'm unsurprised you backed him- Craig was a rubbish candidate and he knew it, which is why he dropped out. Not a hard choice.
However this month you had a choice between Woldy, as an active, interested, hard working UK citizen who has been constantly involved for over a year, and a guy who came to the UK and UKRP to die 2 weeks ago and got roped into it because the other filler candidates weren't as high profile.
Fair enough we need a competent second place candidate but actually backing a candidate that didn't want to run nevermind win is just another example of irresponsibility from a party who mobile voted in Canadian PTOers for some stupid reason. It's no wonder your party is sliding into the toilet. No guesses about which party most of your remaining members will join once you finally accept it is dead.
Dish is running to win this, not just because the UKRP needed him.
From the point of view of a noob, and even though he doesn't want he job - I'll be voting for dish. I can't see a reason why anyone would want the job at this time when so much could go wrong.
@ Rednoahl
An excellent point!
