Day 1,518, 23:24 Published in United Kingdom United Kingdom by Stefan1992
The eUK Forums and IRC are the two main places for communication, and where the majority of activities occur.
For a complete list of guides, look at this article or go directly to Orientation on the Wiki.

Forums

The eUK Forums is the central hub for activities in the eUK. There are many sections, from introducations to the military. Political parties generally have a subforum on the site where party matters are discussed. Politics in the eUK can be talked about in Public Discussion. Tournaments and prizes can be found at the forum games section. There is literally a section for everything, even for spam.

It is highly recommended to sign up on the forums if you want to get more in depth with the country and community. Registration is simple and quick. There is plenty of help to be found for new players, and many opportunities await on the forums. Whether you want to get involved in the military, government or something else, the forums is the best place to be.

IRC

The IRC (Internet Relay Chat) is a place where people can communicate instantly through the wonders of the Internet. There are several clients to choose from such as Mibbit, Chatzilla, mIRC etc. eRepublik channels use the Rizon server, so if you use a client, type irc.rizon.net. Alternatively, you can go straight to Rizon by going to [Rizon.net/chat].

It is recommended that you register your nick, which is easy to do. Once you join with the nickname of your choice, type "/msg NickServ register PASSWORD EMAIL" where PASSWORD is any password of your choice to use when you sign in, and EMAIL is self-explained. It is best to do this in a random channel where no one else is in so that if you accidentally mess up, people won't see what you did wrong, potentially revealling your email for all to see. To do this, just join a random channel such as #rdhgldkghsd. Note that when you want to join a channel, you type /join #CHANNEL.

The main channel of the eUK is #euk. Although most of the time this room is full of spam. Most parties have an IRC channel of their own, both private for members only and public for everyone else. Other notable channels include places for the government (Cabinet, Ministries, Parliament, Military, etc.).

IRC is an important part of the game, as it is vital for more active players to communicate for others. But this is not a place for just active people, as there is something for people of all activity levels.
