Operation Old Brothers

Day 2,024, 15:39 Published in USA USA by crashthompson.

Overview and AAR

During our most recent roll call most SHIELD members selected the option that they can and are willing to deploy. As a result of this I offered our services to the eUS as willing to fight behind enemy lines. After working some details with allies overseas it was requested that SHIELD deploy to support eUS efforts to free allies, decrease the number of Serbian held territories and in a sense, open up more fronts against the Serbians. We decided to make Belgrade, Serbia our location. Why not fight the enemy from their own capital.

28 SHIELD Member responded to the forum post for tickets -

Overall, our highest number of foreign flags that I saw when going through the SHIELD roster was about 40.

That gives us about a 40-50% of our starting forces deploying overseas at one time or another throughout the operation.

During roll call we found that a lot of members had access to rocket factories. Rocket factories are not required, a better investment is always in your Training Center upgrades. Using SHIELD supplies we were able to start issuing Rocket Packs to various members of SHIELD who responded to the roll call and whose rocket factory matched or was close to the division level.

We were able to track damage done by rockets dropped by SHIELD members via posts for resupply.

Fellow Feds were willing to and contributed low quality weapons and even CC/Gold to help this program run during Operation Old Brothers

SHIELD Staff is still looking over the cost of the rocket program, the damage done, and the fun SHIELD had. If you are in favor of continuing the rocket program, had fun with it, and/or would like to see it offered again, please make it known in your replies and comments below.

An official rocket report will be released to the MU in a few days so you guys know how much we spend and what we spent it on.

In my opinion Operation Old Brothers was a success. We were able to assist allies overseas in reclaiming some of their territories from the Serbs.

We dropped damage and won BH’s for the following nations -

As well as SHIELD received the honor and financed a few of its soldiers to help kick off the North Carolina RW along with the USAF.

Despite SHIELD being officially deployed we still had our representatives on the home front. New players joined us daily. Not all players were able to deploy. And some players moved back and forth to add damage to where it was needed most. SHIELD members shouted and helped our Allies, such as Russia, at key battles. Our SHIELD members helped stop the Serbs, and even from Belgrade had the opprotunity to help with the RW's that freed the eUS states from the Serbian Stench.

Some SHIELD members had some good lols at the expense of serbs even while defeating them on the battlefield-

SHIELD, overall Operation Old Brothers was a success but like all AAR's it is not just a time to pat ourselves on the back, but to evaluate all that we did.

For AAR's in real life, we typically followed the rule 3 up and 3 down.
3 Things your unit/operation/excersize should do again
3 Things your unit/operation/excersize should look into changing and/or improving.

My 1 Up -
Our SHIELD Soldiers moved and moved quickly. I was impressed with the response I recieved from roll call, for tickets, and for dropping damage. You Soldiers did a great display of willingness to fight. For that I will always salute you o7.

My 1 Down -
A few times I felt people were seeking my permission for things that they did not necessarily need to. I appreciate the thought but as a staff we need to more closely define what our roles our and our specific responsibilities. Also we need to do a little tightening of Staff, find out what is really working, what isn't, what we want to remove, and what to add.

SHIELD, I expect you guys to give me the other 2 ups and downs by posting on our thread here -
