As I've said, it's more than words that make a party far left. It's more than communes alone also. Communes are an economically left characteristic, but I don't think flooding our IRC with N***ER over and over again for the laughs is something any real radical leftists would do. A real radical socialist leader would rather someone like that be shot in the head so we have one less racist fucktard wasting the rest of the Earth's resources.

In every article that has been published by us that breaks the barrier about talking RL politics, I've seen sweet come in and mention countless times his opinions on why leftism fails. Just look at some of Mike's past articles. He's the main person arguing against them.

Next lets look at the thefts on your part. Radical leftism has failed throughout history due to corruption and greed, a human flaw that radical leftism in itself is against, making contradicting figureheads destroy potentially great systems. Your thefts in the past were a pure sign of greed. While we made a mistake by giving someone Bean trusted access, Ireland was robbed. It was not our intention to make profit, or to hurt this country.

So what was your intention with the thefts?

If you want to look at only the economical standpoint in game then you are an in game socialist, but that's only ignoring the community area of the game, where you brag about stealing, find racial slurs amusing, and argue against RL leftism's reliability and functionality.

I'm a disgruntled, pissed-off-at-the-world radical leftist, who realizes that the community factor of a party completely dismantles the barrier between in game and RL politics. A debate is when people bring solid evidence to argue against one another, and stay open-minded. Sweet is the only one of you capable of lasting more than 5 seconds in a debate. @BB Hank and Ydubb. I never got a chance to see Ydubb prove to be anything less than honorable, and the only thing I can accuse Hank of is supporting the rest of them. I'd say sweet, but as I mentioned while he never used racial slurs, stole from Ireland, or called Croatian victims "pigs", he has argued strongly against far leftism in mike's past articles.

It has been mentioned countless times the difference in RL and IG politics, and how leftism is limited by game mechanics to succeed in erep. Therefore the community and comradery we share on our social standpoints in RL is one thing that binds us together in game. What I'm trying to understand is what you believe you Are. And why you believe that someone like Bhane, or myself, is different from you.

I will say that someday I hope and think that in RL, healthcare, housing and food will all be free, population control will be enforced, and people will not work their whole lives to put food on the table, while half the world starves, and 1% lives like kings. I think this enforcement will destroy the chain of greed that capitalism has worked so hard to build upon. People will eventually work to gain more food, or better houses but regardless they will only be getting what they work for and deserve. Profit and interest will no longer exist.

This new structuring will require a more socialist government to enforce, and through this mankind will become more mature, socially responsible, and less greedy, as greed will no longer be beneficial. Eventually mankind will be mature enough to handle themselves without this form of authority, causing the socialistic government to dissolve through time, or be overthrown, leading to anarchy or the closest thing to it. It's a process to anarchy that I believe is inevitable, and manpower getting replaced by machines will only help speed this process up.

On to my social views, I imagine a utopia without greed, racism, sexism, homophobia, organized religion ect. But this is not possible so long as lenient governments don't do enough to not prevent, but eradicate these mentalities. They are weaknesses that hold mankind back from moving on to greater things.

Some people are driven by their love for what they believe to be "good" while I am driven by my hatred for what I believe to be "evil", being the mentalities I've already mentioned.

The fact is I'm saying that communes are a leftist concept, but you cannot ignore the actions your friends have taken involving greed and racism, even if it was trolling. The fact that they don't have a strong problem with it just further leads me to believe that they are not leftists and that a few of you may be left enough to fool the public, while the rightists among you keep silent.

I believe mankind is socially evolving. What is seen as being liberal today will be accepted by all in the futures. Silly arguments like gay marriage, stem cell research and abortion will all be non-existent arguments in the future, and conservatives will accept them and move on to fight for different goals, losing every battle in the long run. Womens rights, workers' rights, civil rights. Conservatives of those times fought hard, while radical leftists over a century earlier had been fighting for them. They gave their lives to fight for these things, and until it became impossible to deny the people's wishes anymore. This will continue to happen until socialism or another far left government is thrown in its place.

It's not the problem that these issues are getting though, but rather they are occurring at a slow pace, while humanity looms closer to extinction by war or global disaster every year. I see those arguing against these social causes as parasites, slowing down the natural social evolution our species is tundergoing, for their own profits.

I argue that greed is just a mental weakness that human beings are forced to embrace, because it helps surviving become easier, and that once a government is put in place to eradicate that mentality, we'll be a better species for it.

Forming ingame groups based on RL mentalities is fine as you probably have better craic that way. But it doesn't form a basis for ingame strategy.

A high school Model United Nations Club could decide to make their own Halo clan because they enjoy one another's company.
But if they try to import their Model UN strategies into Halo's game environment by becoming an emissary group to engage the other team in peace talks, they're just going to increase the other team's kill count.

I don't want to hurt anybody IRL, I'd love to see war end too. But when I log into a game, I shoot ppl.

If your RL aspirations for humanity were fulfilled in erepublik: there would be no eIreland, one worldwide nation would exist and it's sole activity would be suppressing 'evil capitalist resistance wars'.

This game is made up of 4 parts as I see it. Economical, Military, Community, and Political.

I play this game for all of those, primarily community. I'm not proud of my RL nationality, and I find most of nationalism to be just as destructive as those other mentalities that I've mentioned. I picked this country based off of a heritage that I'm proud of, one rich in both culture, and struggle against oppression.

I know this is a game, and I play it that way until discussions like this get started. As you stated, there's nothing wrong with forming groups of people with similar RL mentalities. What we have in the ILP is a group with similar mentalities, that works together to play the game for primarily the Political and Community aspect.

If you honestly don't understand, it's probably because you play this game for a different aspect, being military and economical above the other two.

We all probably spend too much time on here, but to see all the time spent on expanding our party, and meeting others that share these mentalities, and thinking of ways to change things up in the community, to see that time wasted, that's what pisses me off.

I don't think I need to hear what you all discuss on IRC and pms, because actions speak louder than words. Without going back into rage mode, I'll simply say your friends' actions show me that you aren't RL radically left. If you wanted to be leftists in game, then you could have kept your own party and made it such.

But that wasn't the goal at all, you wanted to find a reason to stay entertained and keep playing, gain attention and revenge by taking our party over, rubbing it in our faces, and using leftism as a way to win over the public. If you wanted to start a political civil war to keep entertained, you've got what you wanted.

Raven, I left the ILP months ago, have generally little involvement in politics. And despite being offered a Congress position in your party, declined both the seat, and to rejoining your party.

So if you're addressing me about issues of control in your party then you probably don't understand who or what I am in eIreland.

I do not care who leads ILP or any other party, so long as they lead it in a manner that does not expose our community to undue threat. That is why 1/2yr ago I reversed from complete silence on internal politics, to public opposition of certain party leaderships. For me that has nothing to do with politics, everything to do with certain ppl habitually using careless security protocols in strategic weak-points in our nation.

As for the political tactics recently seen in our country:
I don't see them as particularly dirty. That's because I see the tactics employed in politics in general as deplorable. Your friends are equally as engaged in behaviours I find dirty as anyone else.

But that's only my PoV, and I accept that others do not view their conduct the same way. These are matters of belief, and ppl are entitled to their own, unless those beliefs/behaviours endanger our community.

In this game only "leftist" thing is communes, taxes and budget spending (mostly on communes).

Therefore, everyone are same socialist or leftist here in eRepublik.

There have been and always will be right wing people completely opposed to communes and/or state spending outwith MPPs. There was a time they actually dominated the country.
