Op-Ed: WWJD: Never Surrender & Resistance Strategies

Day 623, 03:05 Published in USA USA by Kaan the Great

I am about as Christian as a doorknob. If you must know I consider myself a Unitarian Universalist. But whether you believe it or not, it is a good story, and I think it might help to compare our predicament with that of Jesus after he was betrayed by Judas. So I ask you, when they took Jesus to Pilate, did he negotiate? When they took him to Herod, did he try to make terms? When the whipped him and beat him, and then crucified him, did he beg for mercy, offer his executioners a bribe? No. He took the suffering sent onto him with dignity, as we must do. He died on that cross and rose 3 days later. We should take his example. What would Jesus do? Would he surrender to PEACE? Never.

That being said, the war does not seem to be going very well. The past few days, we had a string of successful defenses and won a resistance war in Georgia, and for a while it looked like the tides were turning. But today we have lost two states and as I write the fate our nations capital hangs in balance. Since the war began we have been losing about 1 state per day, and it might be useful to consider going into resistance mode eventually. So I would like to explore an idea for a successful resistance.

1- Resource Companies: Resource companies left behind enemy lines in high resource regions should resume operations. But GMs must ensure that all their employees are Americans or at least fighting for our side. That way if a company pays out 100 dollars(or whatever currency) in salary a day, even if the enemy decided to raise their taxes to 30 percent, 70 dollars of that would be going to fight for our side and only 30 to them. 70-30 = 40 currency units worth of weapons that our side gets more than theirs. Don't sell your products on the market, work with American manufacturing companies in America via contract/donation
2- Manufacturing companies: These must operate out of the regions we have left. Obviously they should also strive to employ only people on our side.
3- Employees: Even in enemy territory our employees should make sure they are working for a company who's GM is on our side. If you have a high resource skill consider moving to California. They built a Q5 there so you can fight in resistance wars 5 times, something you cannot do while in free America
4- Organization: If your character is in enemy territory, your personal organization should be in American or allied territory. If you don't have and organization and are going to be a resistance fighter, try and find someone trustworthy who does and is willing to share/help.That way you can purchase your manufactured goods in American or allied territory, minimizing PEACE tax gain.

It is still a bit too soon for this kind of operation. Right now we are getting pretty short on grain as all our high grain states have fallen. But even if all our medium grain states were to fall, we can still get grain from our allies. But there might come a point where the situation is desperate enough for us to consider encouraging some of our population to move to an occupied territory to help fight resistance wars. We can't do this if we have no American companies in occupied territory. Of course I might be entirely wrong. I might have overlooked some very important game mechanic, if I have please let me know. I am still a relatively new player trying to learn the game.
