Stubborn Californians Newbies
It's been a day since California fell to the Indonesian horde. A few hours later I checked our social stats and noticed that our population dropped from roughly 18000 to roughly 160000, so a drop of roughly 2000 people, roughly the population of California. I like that word, roughly. To be exact it has been 27 hours since California fell and in 17 hours citizenship will be implemented. I would have hoped that at least half of these people would have withdrawn to free states, but it seems none have done this. I assume they are oblivious to the citizenship module. The whole situation makes me sad. Hopefully they will wake up soon (both literally and figuratively as it is only 8:51 AM in Cali), stop helping the Indonesian economy and become US citizens.
Lol, some Serbian dude just asked me for a ticket to move to the United States. For all I know he might legitimately want US citizenship, but that seems unlikely seeing as Croatia is on our side and Serbians and Croatians are on terrible terms. So people if someone asks you for a moving ticket check his friends list, shouts etc.

It's over, we lost. It was relatively close 10-15K more and we would have won. It's a shame really. Well at least I learned a few things. The tanks don't do as much damage per fight as I thought, its not around a thousand but somewhere between 200 and 300 dmg. Over all I'd have to say we didn't put enough fights in this battle. I put this mostly to a lack of American civilian presence. Most of us don't understand the importance of Manitoba. Frankly I don't quite either, but considering civilian orders on both sides were to fight there I'd say there probably is a very good reason. And most Americans don't understand why they should fight for Canada when American soil is under attack.
I get it we are a wayward people. We like to have choices, we like to find our own way. But there is a time and a place for everything and this just is not the time to pick your battles. Please people follow orders, we need to stand united.

Last five minutes still no significant change, we went down to -45K and right now we are back up to -41K. Just now we went back up to -20K this is going to be a nail biter folks.

The clock just turned red meaning it's the last fifteen minutes of battle and we are still 41K in the red. I can sense the enemy trying to wait us out, trying to see how far our tanks will build it back up. If we win this it will be in the last few minutes.

As we head in to the last 20 minutes of the battle we have gone back down to -39K, I don't think it was any large attacks, the enemy is just putting in a lot more fights.

We got hit by a wave with 8000 dmg. We are 19K underground. I sure hope the cavalry shows up. We've already lost South Dakota to the Russians today and Arizona looks pretty hopeless.

55 Minutes left in the battle and it doesn't look good. We got attacked by two waves of about 8K damage each. And were 11K underground. I'm not satisfied with the momentum of our normal attacks, we have more damage per hit but are hits come too far apart compared with the enemy. And no heroes on our side have shown up yet.

The last hour and 10 minutes of the battle. I got a lot of lols and accusations of noobery in the comments when I said the wall is at 10K and the battle seems safe. While I am a relatively new player I am not an idiot. I know that there are players that can do more than 10K damage alone. But I think the tanks might have already rolled and there isn't much budget left on either side to do another round (they have definitely rolled in AZ), so its up to the normal folk, and since we are fighting at home I trust us to win it when it's up to the small guys. No change in the wall or attack frequencies yet.

One hour and forty minutes left in the battle. The wall went up to 15K and then back down to 10 and is still dropping, I saw one middleweight hitter from Indonesia fight like 7 or 8 times. I guess they aren't all sleeping.

If you've been reading the DOD Orders or the Indonesian orders (they actually post them in English) you know the big battle today is Canada v. France in Manitoba. Earlier in battle the Indonesian assault caused F/E forces to retreat all the way back underground but most Indonesians are sound asleep right now and we have been making gains all day. Right now the wall is up to 10K in no man's land. I don't see much of a risk here. The Hungarians pose a bit of a threat but the sun is rising over the west coast, so if we all put in at least 5 fights Manitoba shall stay Canadian.

Well I'll indulge you. In the real world it would be impossible to close a border the size of California off completely. People would climb over the Rocky mountains barefoot to escape. And in the eWorld tickets are surprisingly cheap, and our NPOs and Government is willing to assist those who can't afford the two tickets.

@ghoti yeah thats what I meant. I'm crap at geography, I always thought they were a branch of the Rocky Mountains. Appalachians in the east rockies in the west. oh well, I'll correct it. It's even worse seeing as I actually traversed the Sierra Nevada, was up by lake Tahoe like 4 times.
