On Congress elections and situation regarding Brazil

Congress Elections
Congratulations eSouth Africa! The elections were a big success.
For the first time in months we had a truly effective elections where people were willing to run and where there was a good spread of candidates.
Congratulations to everyone who were elected. New Congress, join the forums. Make sure that you know what the congressional procedures entail and if you're uncertain, ask.
I specifically want to thank our younger players who ran, some of whom made it, and others who were unsuccessful. I can assure you, I've known people who were great players who battled to get into congress, heck look at the list, if Oprah couldn't get into congress, I wouldn't beat myself up for not making it.
Rather work at getting yourself known - publish articles, chat on IRC, take part in the national assembly.
There is more to what we do than the elected paths.
I ran on a platform of activity, and I believe this is one of the first signs of an activity shift.
Thank you to the various party presidents for getting people out there to run. It was exhilarating.
Brazil
We are having a meeting with Brazil tonight to discuss the upcoming NE to release Northern Cape, as well as the possibilities of the threat of war.
We cannot provide full details, but those who have been looking at the global situation, would be able to see that there is a shift in the global alliances.
At this stage the NE will be postponed until Brazil gains an upper hand on their Northern borders.
Possible war
We are still concerned by the Australia - Argentina - Chile - Brazil situation. We don't approve of bullies, but we choose to stay out of this unless our allies are under threat.
Wars and rumours of war
I am calling the reestablishment of a War fund in order to stockpile weapons.
We have heard rumours of war and greedy countries looking at our resources. If it comes to that, we'll be ready and waiting.
I'll update you as soon as we know what is going on.

Any citizen wanting to contribute to our war fund (i.e. by donating money, food or weapons) are welcome to contact myself, Crumoet and Grimstone in order to make contributions.
