Is OMS disbanding?
There has been much debate on this in congress, and on some newspapers. I would like to know the general public's thoughts.

My thoughts are below:
1.) This will weaken a large part of eUSA's military force, as the militias will no longer be receiving funding. Of course, they could become a branch of the USAF, but there is a reason they are militias, and not already part of the USAF. They want to be able to have more freedom. USAF has stricter rules than a militia does.
2.) In times where ONE is growing stronger, would it not be beneficial to increase our strength as well? Disbanding the OMS would weaken us further, not strengthen us.
3.) Where would the excess money go? I would much rather see it go to helping the militias of eUS than lining the elitists pockets. The money OMS gives to militias allows them to deal more damage and therefore make the eUS a stronger country in the eWorld.
Altogether, i think disbanding OMS would be a completely idiotic thing to do. What would it accomplish? The only thing it would accomplish, is weakening us further.

It's about government control: Join our military OR get your own funds.
With our taxes as high as they are, they can afford to fund the militias. If anyone wants to opt out that's their own call. But the whole program doesn't need to be scrapped.
And we all know it's just to give the USAF a little bit more power on the battlefield and try to garnish the players in militia to join them. Seems kinda idiotic that they will put the entire OMS on the chopping block just for a tad bit more power and perhaps a few more members.

It's what it's becoming... Sad.
Funny to say this, but I like eCanada's funding model better.
It encourages diversity among different MUs by equally funding anyone who meets the right criteria.
Sure, it's a bit more work but by spreading out the funds, you encourage talent in managing different MUs.
By fostering talent in supply managenement and MU governance, you create new leaders who can fill in the spots left behind by players who leave.
Diversity and equal funding = healthier military base.
It's the only thing keeping eCanada alive at the moment. Without it, the place would be a complete sh*thole.
