Northern Alliance is Being Formed

A pact known as the Northern Alliance is being formed in Europe and has allied Ireland, Norway, Finland and Russia.
The pact was formed as a mean to defend nations with little power from dangerous superpowers such as Sweden and Pakistan.
This pact is however not only for Europeans or small nations, this pact is for any nation aslong as it is willing to defend the peace of other nations and never provoke war.
The United Kingdom seems to be considering joining the pact, but the more important question is, could Japan join the Northern Alliance and would it serve us for the better?


Northern Alliance (From Norwegian President then)

To aid in our communications with our allies in the Northern Alliance. I have set up an external forum for the Northern Alliance.

This forum contains a private section that will only be accessible to country presidents and foreign ministers. There is also a public area where questions and comments can be made about the alliance, where the alliance can issue public announcements, and where country presidents can make a request for their country to be admitted to the Alliance. The site also has an area available for the embassies of all member nations.

The Presidents of all member nations have been made aware of this external forum, and it is my hope that they will make full use of this tool to strenghten the diplomatic bonds between our countries.

My hope is that this external forum will someday be able to be replaced with a better tool in the Erepublik game site. Until I hope we can employ this tool to maintain peace and security in Europe.


The Northern Alliance

Recently there has been a heated debate around the Northern Alliance. However, most of the crictics had not joined erepublik when it was created and does not understand the political atmosphere at that time.
The NA is essential as it protects us from Sweden. I am not sure you understand the magnitude of the threat from Sweden. Sweden has over 2000 citizens while we have not even 100. Also Sweden has pledged to conquer all of Europe. The NA when it was formed caused the Swedish to drop their warmongering rhetoric and adopt a much more diplomatic policy. However, you might like to cricticize the Alliance it has already served a purpose by causing Sweden to back off. In fact Sweden is very interested in joining the NA. The Northern Alliance allows a relativey small nation( Ireland ) to be a much bigger player in regional and gobal politics and protects us in a very large protection net.


More than 1500 days later, we are again discussing about the Northern Alliance. What good and bad points we can consider from the old one? What will we have to do to make it lasts?
