Official White House Press Release (#61): South African Political Crisis

14 December 2009, Day 755 of the New World.

This is an emergency press conference to discuss several events of Day 755 of the New World.

The contents of this White House Press Release are:

1. South African Political Crisis

2. American Forces in Xinjiang

3. Poland Invades Germany

South African Political Crisis

Three days ago, President of South Africa Ines Schumacher agreed to give up KwaZulu-Natal, Mpumalanga, and North-West Province to Brazil, which has long held diamond-rich Gauteng. This was ostensibly to make anti-political-takeover efforts easier. Yesterday, she revealed that the real reason was to allow Brazil to invade Australia, which they now share a border with at KwaZulu-Natal.

Despite this overwhelming Phoenix-supporting move, an impeachment proposal failed in the South African Congress. After the proposal was doomed to failure, the President, apparently attempting to thwart a coup d'état, announced that the remaining South African territory would be handed over to the Brazilians.

Ines Schumacher is currently suspended for being under investigation for suspicious illegal activities. It is widely speculated that President Schumacher is not in control of her citizen, and the eSouth African off-site forums were attacked.

Brazil has been unable to take advantage of their new war with Australia thanks to the Spanish. Spain shares a border with Guayana, a Venezuelan region currently under Brazilian occupation, and has attacked. Australia is preparing to defend Western Australia.

South African Minister of Foreign Affairs Oceanus has published an article discussing the current crisis in his country. The Cabinet of South Africa is currently working to maintain order, led by Vice President Mark Morcom. If a later impeachment proposal is successful, Frank Furglar, runner-up in the last election, Congressman from Limpopo, Minister of Education, and Chairman of the eSouth African Health Center, becomes the President of South Africa. Other groups have attempted to claim legitimacy in South Africa during this crisis.

American Forces in Xinjiang

Shortly after securing possession of Kyushu, Japan, the United States attacked Indonesia in Fujian, a Chinese region. However, victory against Indonesia was denied to us by a resistance war, which returned the region to China.

By agreement between the United States and China, the United States has land-swapped all the way into central Asia. With Tibet now part of the United States, our forces have launched an attack on Xinjiang, an Indonesian-occupied region which borders Western Siberia. In this battle, our Polish, Croatian, Canadian, and Spanish allies can assist us, having been activated much earlier in this American-Indonesian war. The United States has already caused the liberation of one Chinese region, and Xinjiang should be the second in our Asian campaign.

Japan and the United States are expected to sign a peace treaty in the next few days.

Poland Invades Germany

Poland has launched a multi-front assault against Germany in the border-regions of Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania, Brandenburg and Berlin, and Saxony. Germany’s compliment of mutual protection pacts is currently the United Kingdom, which is attempting to take over Flanders, Turkey, which is under attack by Greece and Romania, Indonesia, which is fighting to protect its Asian colonies from American liberators, and Russia.
