Of Iron and Singapore
Relorian
Standard small donation, not a lot just enough to keep the Iron Works going until I can reach production levels to pass along to the nationalized weapons company.
So, why the low sum of the donation?
241 SGD isnt trying to take a hell of alot away from the country but it will help maintain the business I currently am running to produce Iron for our weapons factories. It will help hire new workers to put a little more umph in the production line.
I dont think this law will pass but I figure its better to try and not get funding than to not try and keep it on its current course.

As I have repeated several times every congress, congress proposals are to be proposed in the forums before being proposed in the game.
This is to reduce wasted proposals.
In any case, I voted no. Personal business should not be confused with state companies.
Saddens me that you'd vote NO to continue our Iron Works project but then again, its not a shock.
I didnt feel like proposing a law to the forums where it would sit for days and make no headway. Its one thing if you have the time and all but when you dont, yeah, doesnt really work.
The rules are there for a reason.
the system won't let me vote and i got the most votes in the election yesterday.
If a congress member does not even know how to follow simple rules and act on impulse because he believes that it is right, is a bad decision maker. Even worse, proposing to get state funds to fund your own personal company??? Even if it is just a small amount, it is not the right thing to do. And like you had said earlier, 241 SGD is not a hell of a lot of money, WHY CAN'T YOU JUST GO WORK AND SAVE UP JUST LIKE THE POORER REST OF US? I believe that you are able to do that. Proposing to take a donation or a personal loan from the government coffers is JUST A BAD IDEA. If everyone is like you, thinks that it is an easier way out, just drawing money from the government account, then we'll all be in big trouble, everyone will start to abuse the system. Who's gonna answer the taxpayers? Where is all the fairness? If I plan to open a iron factory too, can i ask for a small donation from the government too? What the heck, why not i ask the government to provide me a donation of 20g to start up the company too? So please, WAKE UP! This sort of thinking is not good at all and I am doubting your ability and credibility to be a congressman.
There's no need to overact. It's a proposal. We can keep our discussion civil and free from accusations.
Relorian is well-intended. We have hardly any iron selling in Singapore. His company is an important part of the iron industry in Singapore.
There's no need to get upset over a request for funding on an important industry.
kramus I feel sorry for you. You are an uninformed idiot hurling accusations when you dont know what your talking about. I didnt figure the proposal would work but I felt that I should make it because frankly, I am actually working to better this nation, not just sit here and get fat off it like so many 2 clickers in this game (Including you kramus).
IF you want the government to give you 20 gold, get in touch with congress and see if any of them are willing to sponsor an idiot and his foolishness.
I on the other hand got APPROVAL before I even thought about opening the iron works for our nation. I just put up a donation so that i can keep it running and producing. However if you feel its a "Personal" loan, then I guess we should stop funding anything run by a non government org that helps this nation and gets funding from it.
I could also give a crap less what a 2 clicking no-nothing thinks of my credibility. My record speaks for itself and considering I was one of 4 congress members who actually stuck around for the term, I think it would be wiser if you directed your accusations and doubts towards yourself. Again, your an ignorant uninformed Troll at this point, Maybe learn to research things before opening your mouth again.
Teh, Yes there are rules but frankly, the rules only work when you have time to wait for people to take their sweet time before getting round to laws. Yes, I broke the proposal rule, infact I broke it twice, once at the request of our president and once on my own due to time limitations. However, I did so with the best of intentions and to keep a vital project running when it became apparent that the next congress would get in and no nothing of it.
The proposal that was with the request of the president is understandable. That proposal has been discussed long before, so its de facto approved.
And we can stop this accusation game Relorian and Kramus. I plead of you two to keep it to PMs.
I doubt at this point I can keep it to PM's. My contempt for this two clicker very clear. It launched a personal attack, I actually had a nastier reply readied to post but at the last minute, pulled some of the venom out of it.
Honestly, asking for funds to supply eSingapore iron should NOT be voted down or even talked down. We have NO natural iron sources and cannot depend on the Swiss to supply us forever. Anyone trying to bring vital iron into the country should be praised instead of being raked over the coals.
I understand that iron is very vital to the country. But I personally see a huge difference between the private sector and state-owned companies.
We weren't given very clear idea of what is going on in the proposal except that its going into Red Nova for an iron company, which definitely contribute to Singapore's economy.
So I believe we need more information as to what's going on before we approve of it. The burden of proof to show that your proposal should be approve lies with you.
We aren't the ones with the burden of proof to show that your proposal needs to be disagreed with.
what i am not happy about is getting a donation from the government funds to run a private company. I agreed that the iron industry is important to eSingapore, and if the funds is directed into a state-owned company, then i'll be quiet. But I do not agreed with this kind of thinking as it might be a misuse of government funds and will misled citizens thinking that it is all right to do that.
I maybe a small-time 2 clicker, but at least I voice out my concerns for this nation and i believed that we need to keep the policymakers and their decisions in check. Who knows what personal agenda does each policymaker have? I'm not pointing fingers at anyone nor am I accusing anyone here. But the fact is, won't it worries you if this gets approved and the funds goes to the private company? Who knows if the company may just moved to another country and the congressman vanished too? I'm not accusing Relorian that he will do it, but the possiblility is there and it could happen to any of our congressmen/women. Remember those who have ditched us before?
Moreover, I did not accusing Relorian of any wrongdoings, I just disagreed with the suggestion. I did said that "I am doubt his ability and credibility to be a congressman", that is just my personal opinion. And he said that he had broken the proposal rule twice. Really, just where is the credibility when you broke the rule, especially as a congress member.
Talking about personal attacks: you said that i am an uninformed idiot, a Troll and a 2 clicking no-nothing, now that's what i called a personal attack. Ever heard me said that you are an impatient, arrogant, hot headed fellow who dwells on his past glory of completing a full term in congress? I doubt so.
So what if you have completed a whole term in congress? Does that make you better than us? Does that means you are above us? Just a gentle reminder, with us majority 2 clickers, eSingapore won't grow a single grain, pump a drop of oil or produce a piece of bread.
