Of Forums, Bumpkins and Revolving Doors

Welcome to Edition 1!
There are several useful guides dotted around for newbie folk out there that hopefully will explain more than just the usual 2-click-ed-ness! They're often found in your forums, folks!

Sure, for the first few days it’s “buy food, work, train, rinse-and-repeat” but you can take advantage of the time available to get involved with forums. The official eRepublik forum can be found at http://www.erepublik.com/en/forum.

See what people are talking about in the forums or IRC/Skype, investigate political parties and our local regions. Find out about the military options if you prefer BOSHing rather than debating. There’s a whole wealth of information out there. For eUK, the obviously place to be is the forum on http://forums.erepublik.co.uk. When you first register and logon it can seem daunting, but do read the “How does this game work” and post an entry on the “Introductions” threads. And make sure you click on “Mark All Forums Read” or your head will spin! Focus on what you need and don’t try to read it all! Find out who the forum moderators are. Ask them questions about the forums!

Views From the Bruise (VFT😎 urges moderators and authors to consider the new player in their forum creations. Sensible/debated/agreed/unbiased player guides count for a lot! AND PLEASE DELETE OLD/USELESS THREADS!

We’re not all Country Bumpkins you know!
We don’t all drive combined harvesters, chew straw and drink cider. Well, at least not the first two. For those of you looking to make a fresh start with work or starting a company, come to the South-West!

We’ve got an excellent Regional Council ready to help, and get you started, and we sport the wonderful Q5 Hospital for your wellness and convenience. The Regional Council are trying hard to push forward an exciting agenda of change and improvement, and VFTB hopes Mr Woldy will recognise the huge potential within the South-West and encourage development in this beautiful region.

Come and visit our forum on http://forums.erepublik.co.uk. You'll find us there under REGIONS, then SOUTH-WEST. For our regional wiki, please see http://wiki.erepublik.com/index.php/South_West_of_England.

In Through the Out Door
So... November 5 has come and gone. VFTB acknowledges Mr Woldy’s slick campaign and also that of his rival candidate, AlthmerVampire. A fine contest. And VFTB hopes that Mr Woldy’s 2nd term in office will mean making a difference to the eUK. The disbanding of the RG has, in this paper’s opinion, meant that new citizens have little military choice. Navy, or nothing. VFTB would urge the Government to focus on regional development and informing, educating and encouraging. Leg-ups, not handouts.

On the subject of politics, VTFB are delighted to announce the UKRP are working on new and radical policies to help them stand out from the rather dull, flat political landscape. There’s confidence in the ranks that UKRP can maintain it’s position as the Common Sense Party - citizen and worker freedom, entrepreneurship, firm fiscal management without the left-ist regulation.
