O Quantum, Where Art Thou?

Day 2,951, 15:27 Published in Norway Norway by Freke

You pinned us down, you had your day
No congressman would have a say
Our CP rendered powerless
From the dictator's ruling mess

Some days ago you called us out
You claimed you knew we would strike back
So we prepared to beg and shout
To get some tankers to our pack

And yesterday, you told again
That all preparing was in vain
You knew we would rise up tonight
And meet you for our freedom fight

Indeed, at first our teeth did rattle
A mighty foe we thought we'd meet
But you left on the eve of battle
And all we heard was running feet

Oh, ruler Quantum, did all go?
Have they disowned and shunned you so?
Now we have lost our own court jester
Again, each other we must pester

We're glad, a lesson we could teach
True gold requires more than gilding
Your honor is as pale as bleach
As Elvis now has left the building

In eNorway, we are so few
That everyone think they can screw
Us any day - but know, my friend
We'll send you back home in the end

Our line of allies is so wide
We thank each friend who came to aid
Who closed the ranks, stood side by side
And made our foes run, so afraid

Our call was heard, so many came
We thought we had an even game
Alas, we did misjudge your trait
For Valhalla we still must wait

Despite your statements, big and bold
You merely had your weapon drawn
Your failure is what will be told
This fight was one long boring yawn

Let every enemy now worry
And spread the true, but tragic story
What happens to each hostile force
Who tries to meddle with the Norse
