Nostalgia

Day 4,676, 08:44 Published in USA USA by Maxim Spart

Dear Fellow Americans,

It's been nice to hear from many of you since I returned last week. I spent time today deleting former friends who I spent countless hours online debating, plotting, discussing congressional operations, politics, etc. What I realized is more than any other game that I've played in my life, this one carries the most nostalgia for me. The sheer thousands of names you come across, the "history" of the game, and periods of which the majority of you know little to nothing about that shaped the game as it is. Legends like Josh Frost, RainySunday, Gnilraps, Publius, Emerick, Fionia, Sweetbags, Ballman, Max McFarland II, and so many more.

If any of you are old enough to have played text based RPG's like ARCTIC, then you understand the nostalgia you still carry for these games.

I'm honestly amazed this game still continues after all the changes to the original core game (which was excellent). The real life version doesn't match the nostalgia but I guess that's what makes nostalgia...nostalgia.

I would love to get back and more involved but I wouldn't even know where to start with how things have changed. The old IRC rooms are dead I imagine and it seems much of the activity is dead as well.

Glad it still is here for us old timers to stop on by and see what's going on. Thanks to all of you for continuing this adventure and having it there for the random passer by's who come to visit. Two Clickers FTW!!!

Best of luck to the eUSA and if an opportunity arises for me to get involved, I may just do so...for...nostalgia 🙂

Sincerely,
The Friend of the People (haven't written that in a while!)
