North Wind [Észak szele]
The icy wind blasted like a force from nether hell, the snow blinded the eyes and made steps slower and slower as the great warriors tried to move into position, to get the best sight of the enemy. They were from afar, from the land of history and legend, from a place where such weather is unheard of, much less usual. Freezing joints complained and the cold steel of the weapons froze to naked skin - breathing was hard even through the shawls and fighting even harder. But they are not great warriors for nothing. They are used to hardship, they overcome difficulties, they fight because it is their profession, their love and their joy.
They fight for ideals too, for a country, for an alliance or against one, for freedom or for resources - but first and foremost they fight because they can and because they are good at it. Others too lifted the banner, but their march was overshadowed by tha tanks' earth-shaking rumbling. There were glitches too, into the smooth running of the war-machine errors crept and since we, humankind write history we know that the losing side has to have an explanation - one which do not involve their doing. It does not matter, the winter cares not about explanations and reasoning - Noorish and Russian winter with Iranian tornadoes won over the Romanian might, whatever was written over the two sides of the battle - and it was not a small victory, but one that even the loser can be proud of.
For some losses are wins in their own way. I do believe that Romania won more there than a lost battle. I do not profess to say, how or what, but my sixth sense whispers me so. Maybe it is the wind blowing from the North. Welcome Northern Flame, what say you? Warriors, says the wind, chieftains whispers the wind, heroes, tells the wind... I listen to the wind. I write what it conveys to me. I watch the North. With wind and all. Winter is here.
A jeges Ă©szaki szĂ©l sĂĽvöltött, mint egy elemi erĹ‘ a pokolbĂłl, a hĂł elvakĂtotta a szemeket Ă©s megbĂ©klyĂłzta a lábakat, lelassĂtva a harcosokat, ahogy helyezkedni prĂłbáltak az ellensĂ©ggel szemben. MesszirĹ‘l jöttek, a mesĂ©k, a törtĂ©nelem Ă©s legendák hazájábĂłl, olyan helyrĹ‘l, ahol az ilyen idĹ‘járásrĂłl soha nem is hallottak. Fagyott ĂzĂĽletek panaszkodtak, Ă©s a fegyverek hideg acĂ©lja fagyott hozzá a meztelen bĹ‘rhöz – a lĂ©legzet mĂ©g a sálakon keresztĂĽl is nehezen ment, s a harc mĂ©g nehezebbĂ© vált tĹ‘le.
Harcosok, sĂşgja a szĂ©l, fĹ‘nökök, mondja a szĂ©l, hĹ‘sök, suttogja a szĂ©l… Ă©s Ă©n hallgatok a szĂ©lre. LeĂrom, amit mesĂ©l nekem. Északra nĂ©zek, ahonnan a tĂ©l jön.

Csodaszép:)
Excellent article, nice touch and very elaborate style. Voted and enjoy it.
I voted your article and subscribed.
I like how your write, but not what you write.
Example: "we know that the losing side has to have an explanation - one which do not involve their doing"
I do not agree with the above. We know whose fault it is, ours. We used the wrong tactics. It won't happen again.
and by the way..if you trully care about norway watch out because these so called heros (iranian heros) just got themselves a border with your regions from their fellow pakistanese..
and btw pakistan did exactly the same thing that norway did for romania, jsut handed a region to an ally.
Very nice article!
Go! Go! khm PEACE?
Nagyon jĂł lett ez is:D
empyrion_martyr: It is a well-known psychological fact. 'Blame them' or 'it' - anything but 'us'. You could see it in a number of comments.
sebahmah: We will cross that bridge when we come to it. (I am still not sure who is 'we', but someone will cross some bridges somewhere in the near future, that I am sure)
everyone: thanks for the compliments, they are the food and drink of a writer.
Quite nice article in an excellent, astonishing style. Keep it up
LOL

no problem, we will fight again and again and again
and you lost you lost again..
DONT MESS WITH US, Norwegians
But of course you will! I for one would be very disappointed if you would not.
TaviTav: the Norwegian military will foil and frustrade all your reckless bellicose moves, and will resolutely smash, mercilessly crush and thoroughly pulverize every act of infringement of our sovereignity.
@quicksilver: I get it, you'd run out of inspirational matterial for your newspaper. Don't rush! We will allways fight! You'll have what to write about, I promise you that

Touching style
empyrion_martyr: You are wrong, I always have something to write about... if one has imagination then one never lacks topic to write about.
