Join the new world

Tomorrow the eUK will head to the polls to decide who will run our country for the next month. This month there are some impressive candidates all with good track records and all who have glowing recommendations from their own parties. Originally we were set to throw our weight behind WayneKerr but due to certain days of inactivity Wayne did the very honourable thing and stepped down from the CP race. UKPP then sought another suitable candidate, one who could take the eUK forward at a time when new players were calling for some kind of military campaign. One who was capable of keeping the country on a sound financial footing and one who had experience as a President as well as experience in Government. They chose wisely. This in mind New Era has decided to back UKPP's candidate - Big Ant.





Many will be aware of Big Ant and his experience in eRepublik. He joined the game just this year but rapidly made his way through Government position after position until ESO gave him the platform to run as country President. He won and used his strong Polish contacts to help remove the French from our shores. New Era believes these contacts are still required as the moment the Polish barrier is removed from northern France then we WILL face another invasion.



New Era also is happy that Big Ant has pledged to continue the NHS which we believe is something the eUK can be proud of. As everybody is aware a number of New Era members have issues with the eUK forums (as have UKPP) and do not participate in them, we are pleased that Big Ant will look into ways to improve the moderating of the IRC and forums. Many will comment that it isn't required but considering only a small percentage of eUK gamers use them then that does say something is wrong with the way they are run. We fully applaud Big Ant in his campaign for freedom of speech in the country's IRC channel.
New Era also would like to fully support the campaign by Big Ant to reduce VAT and income tax on weapons and food. This will help and encourage players to begin to invest in companies again. We again find ourselves applauding your decision Big Ant.



We are proud that ourselves and UKPP were at the forefront of the modernising of the way Citizenship applications are processed. It was a long and bitter fight where we was accused of putting the country at risk, so far we have had no PTO of our country and now all parties have embraced the change. We are glad to acknowledge Big Ant who played a part in this modernisation. Now the fog of scare mongering has settled we can move on and bring in citizens who will help us become stronger on the battlefield as well as in Congress.
New Era is delighted that the eUK has joined some powerful and loyal allies in the alliance TWO. We congratulate all involved for bringing the eUK into the fold of this impressive powerhouse. This will guarantee the stability of the eUK on the world stage for a long time to come. We were pleased to see Big Ant pledge to support our involvement in this alliance and we feel his close ties to Poland will more than help our country with regards to having a voice in the TWO alliance.



48 hours ago New Era members called for military action so new players would be encouraged to remain in the game in a time where the eUK was going through much needed stability. We were sad to see many personal comments by the current CP on Don Dapper because of his calls for a training war. We was told it would be dangerous, would cause a wipe by many EDEN countries and was selfish not to concentrate on helping our allies.. Then within hours it was revealed in the TUP candidates manifesto that we would indeed have this war. Why our CP couldn't have informed us something was in the pipeline is very confusing especially after the fierce defence against a war by certain people now celebrating our future training war. New Era is pleased to see Big Ant acknowledge a war is vital but should not be used as a blatant campaign tool and should have been sorted after the elections. Your integrity in this matter was appreciated. We appreciate some things are secret and in the discussion stage but surely a few brief comments acknowledging that actions are being taken is not going to bring down the eUK.
