This is my first congress update since Dec 20th. It has been long overdue, and it is very important for everyone to see my views and my voting record. MPP (Dec 26th): Mutual Protection Pact with Romania
Outcome: Approved
My vote: Yes
Reason: Romania is an Atlantis ally, so it was a no brainer at the time. Then they decided to make an attack on Russia that was not approved. We kept our word and will not cancel the pact.

Buy Construction (Dec 26th): Q1 Defense System for South Carolina
Outcome: Approve
My vote: Yes
Reason: We are trying to put Defense Systems in our border states. South Carolina is not one of our major border states, so we put a Q1 for now.

President Impeachment (Dec 26th): Impeach President Benn Dover
Outcome: Rejected
My vote: No
Reason: This was just a joke from Kyle321n, so it was an easy decision.

Peace Proposal (Dec 28th): France proposed peace with our nation
Outcome: Rejected
My vote: No
Reason: This seemed like a strategy from France, to make peace with us and still attack our allies. We would only accept if our allies also received peace proposals.

Tax Change (Dec 28th): Oil income tax from 10% to 20%.
Outcome: Rejected
My vote: No
Reason: This proposal was not discussed; it came out of nowhere and does not make any sense.

New Citizen Fee (Dec 29th): Changing citizen fee from $5 to $9.
Outcome: Rejected
My vote: No
Reason: Once again it was not discussed before being proposed; we already had something in the works to help new players. This was an easy decision

Tax Change (Dec 29th): Grain import tax from 99% to 25%
Outcome: Approved
My vote: Yes
Reason: In our effort to help lower the cost of grain, we decided the best route would be to promote competition. But we wanted our companies to still be protected as well, and this was a fair number.

Tax Change (Dec 31st): Food import tax from 45% to 25%
Outcome: Approved
My vote: Yes
Reason: my reason for voting yes, was by simply crunching the numbers. It was easy to see that food prices were too high, and we needed competition to bring theses prices down, especially for citizens who can barely afford it.

Buy Construction (Jan 1st): Q3 Defense system for Alaska
Outcome: Approved
My vote: Yes
Reason: Alaska is a border state and in our effort to protect our borders we put a defense system here.

Tax Change (Jan 1st): Moving tickets income tax from 1% to 7%, vat from 1% to 3%, and import tax from 99% to 20%.
Outcome: Approved
My vote: Yes
Reason: With the spike in prices for moving tickets, and our attempt to make taxes similar in each industry, we decided these were the right numbers for the time being.

Tax Change (Jan 5th): Gift income tax from 1% to 7%, VAT from 1% to 3%, and import tax from 99% to 20%
Outcome: Approved
My vote: Yes
Reason: Same as moving tickets. We felt this will bring in competition and keep our domestic companies protected.

Right now there is much going on in congress. Our main focus is to make a tax plan that is agreeable by most if not all of the congressman. They are going to be well thought out and will benefit the citizen as well as our businesses. We are always discussing where the next hospital and defense system will be placed. And now that we have a new president, I know new changes are going to be implemented.

I would again like to thank everyone for voting me in for congress and will be running again next term so please vote for me.
