New Citizens Section – Articles for New Citizens

Day 1,867, 08:46 Published in Canada USA by Michael 23

As an announcement I’ve made a post in the New Citizens Section of our forum and on it I’ve included some articles that I think are of note or ones that I’ve known that can help new citizens. Amongst them is Plugson’s article for new citizens that we include in our welcome message to new citizens. With the help of jfstpierre the post has been made an announcement and it’s at the top of the section. Big thanks to jfstpierre. I have long written that it would be nice to have one post with all new articles for new citizens that they could turn to and browse for information when they had the time instead of searching for the articles, which are sometimes hard to find as some of the best ones are older articles. While I’ve developed the section I need everyone’s help to post a few articles that they know, if they could please, since the veterans especially know of good articles that I would not know of.

This section is mainly designed for new citizens to browse and see when they first join the forums or when they need something to read to help them out in the beginning stages of their experience. It is a section that could become a wealth of information and section that I could organize into one post afterwards for new citizens to simply scroll through all of the articles that they could use. Everyone would be given recognition and this could be partly our way of giving information back to the citizens.

I have long stated that part of the problem in gaining new citizens is not necessarily in finding new ones but in retaining the ones we have and this is the reason that I seek to develop this knowledge base with everyone’s help. Part of the problem in retaining new citizens is that they just don’t know how to build up. They don’t know that they need to invest in WRM, then grow from there and so on. As information changes and as the modules change so will the recommendations but then we will also have new articles to post in the section and citizens can pick the ones that suit them best.

So please everyone, especially the veterans, if you have something to contribute, post it on the forum in the section and let’s watch it grow into an information database that we can point new citizens to. This is not my project but a project designed to help new citizens from all of eCanada and it cannot be realized with me alone. It will take all of our contribution. Even new citizens, if you come across a good article that you like and want to share with others post it on the forum topic and share the benefits of the great article.

Thanks to everyone for contributing in advance and I hope we can make this information database into a reality.
