Neutrality Definition For Those Confused

Day 1,895, 12:44 Published in Ireland Ireland by asecondchance

I think people sometimes confuse not wanting to be in alliance as choosing to be neutral. I thought for those people I would share 3 different definitions of the word to help them understand not wanting to be in CoT or EDEN < > Neutral.

Neutral: nonparticipation in a dispute or war.

Neutral: he state or position of being impartial or not allied with or committed to either party or viewpoint in a conflict, especially a war or armed conflict

Neutral: The state or quality of being neutral; the condition of being unengaged in contests between others; state of taking no part on either side; indifference.

eIreland is none of those things rather, it is choosing to not be involved with the EDEN or CoT wars. We will and need to continue our alliances with our oldest and close friends and build upon them. We will find new allies and grow them. We are not neutral as we will support our friends and allies in their wars and them, in ours. If we were neutral, we could not have any mpp’s as by default once you have 1, you are on one side versus another.

Just a little food for thought for those who are disappointed on the outcome of the referendum and want to throw around the term Neutral.
