Necros Xiaoban for Imperialist Party President

Day 836, 10:20 Published in USA USA by Necros Xiaoban

I'll be taking a break today from my soldier stories to announce my candidacy for Imperialist Party President.

When I joined the Imperialist Party it was lacking in focus, leadership, and was mired in fear and uncertainty. The Party President had gone missing and the remaining party leadership seemed focused solely on the possibility of a PTO.

Since then I have coordinated efforts to formalize the positions of the party leadership, created our home at #imperialist, assisted in every significant endeavour conducted by the Imperialist Party in the last two months, and have been appointed Chief of Staff to the Party President.

For those of you not in the know, there is currently an effort being made to form a confederation of the small parties, the Small Party Union, in order to leverage members of our parties into Congress. We have seen first hand the difficulty of getting a seat in Congress, when a large coordinated effort was made to ensure we gained no seats last election.

On the whole, I think the SPU could potentially be useful to the Party, but we must strive to ensure that entry into the SPU does not infringe on the rights and privileges of the Party. I have been working closely with caucus of parties seeking to form this Union to ensure that the Imperialist Party retains its independent status, and is not forced to succumb to the views and beliefs of others.

The Party Presidents we elect in this next election will be the ones who ratify this new Small Party Union, so when electing your Party President, think well on what you want the SPU to be.

Myself, I have opposed efforts to create a SPU endorsement of any POTUS candidate, excepting the unanimous support of all parties involved. Anything less provides for a majority of the SPU to dictate the conscience of all the parties, preventing them from endorsing the candidate they feel best represents the core values of their party.

I'm also opposed to any efforts by the SPU to choose which congressional candidates are eligible for election to Congress. The SPU should serve to ensure that all parties' candidates are placed on the ballot, regardless

Ultimately, my decisions are influenced by my desire to see this party grow and flourish. I think we can do a better job of involving all of our party's members in what we're doing, and if I get elected I won't turn away anyone who offers their help. There's always some way that any member of the party can contribute.
I want to work to better coordinate our votes during congressional elections. The last election showed me that if we really want to have a voice in Congress its going to take more than just a well developed platform, but the ability to execute on election day. We'll need people to organize votes for that. We'll need volunteers to wait until late on election night to cast their votes.
I also want to do an overhaul of the forums and really get the party actively engaged with one another on a day to day basis. The better we can come to know one another the stronger this party will become, and the faster we'll grow.

It may seem a long ways away to Top 5 party status, but if we can just grow as much in the next two months as we did in the last two, we'll be a dominant player in politics in no time.

I look forward to serving you in the future,

Necros Xiaoban
