National Reserves Proposal

Day 646, 21:35 Published in USA USA by Feeney Madden

I am the product of the eUS Mentorship program, a graduate under the fine guidance of Bill Brasky, and I now, too, mentor new players. I am also a graduate of the eUS Military Training Division and an active member of the Home Guard's Charlie Company, 3rd Platoon.

Right now, there is an overwhelming demand on the eCitizens of the eUS with regards to getting in new recruits into the Training Division and through into National Service.

Capacity Limit Reached
Right now, the Military Training Division has approximately 900 people enlisted because graduates have no place to go, and the Home Guard (HG) and Mobile Infantry (MI) is strained. New recruits cannot get a position in the TD because of the strain placed upon their volunteer staff.
These people want to participate in the military, they want to get involved and get active, and they want to follow orders. Not everyone has the scripts, and with this amount of people being idle, they could be put to better use.
There is often complaints about how if only we could get the 2 clickers to follow orders and get them to fight in the right place, we could be a fierce force to be reckoned with.

I introduce to you, my Proposal, of establishing the National Reserves

Military Hierarchy
The National Reserves (NR) would be the place that graduates from the Training Division (TD) go, upon the completion of their course and exam if they have nowhere else to go.
Instead of these graduates just sitting around and leaving the system, sending an application to the Home Guard or something, they are automatically enlisted in the NR.
The NR has an unlimited capacity to operate.

From the NR, all other Branches will now recruit directly, leaving the TD to have more space to get more recruits and clear the backlog of waiting cadets. No longer will you hear "I had to wait 6 weeks before I got accepted" or Receive a PM saying you are welcome to the TD when you are already level 8.

Funding
The NR would operate completely without Funding, it will not be a strain on the purses of our eNation. Members of the NR will receive no weapons, no food, no moving tickets, no aid. They will be provided for in this team just like they would when they were a Civilian. However, I am sure, active members of the NR would offer reduce cost items.

Opportunity for Hands-On Experience
Right now the TD can't really expand their tutors because, well, experience. As a Newbie would you want to be tutored by another Newbie, or by an experienced player? So logically, a Newbie isn't going to run a TD platoon.
However, in the Reserves, this Newbie will get the opportunity to Learn how to run a Platoon. This means they are made to be accountable, they are guided, they are given the tools and the tasks to perform for their NR Platoon.
What this means is, when the HG, MI or other Branches have an opening for new members, they will look towards the NR Platoon Leaders first, they are experienced well rounded Military personnel. The long term effects of such a hands-on experience means future full service military will be educated, experienced, wise, and familiar with how the eUS Military functions.

Implementation Time
Such a Program can be setup and running within days. Operating out of the current Military Forums, or a separate offline Forum, this will allow clarity and ease of announcements.
People can be placed in positions that will enable new recruits to move across, and the TD Leaders can instruct their Platoon Leaders and their graduates where to go next.

In this time of war, we need a new weapon, one that will give us that competitive edge and one that will help restore the eUS quickly. That weapon is the ability to organize the masses, and to efficiently direct all those eAmericans who genuinely want to be a part of Military.

Who Runs This?
Naturally, this project started as my thought and has spiralled into a desire and a focussed dream, so I would love the opportunity to run this program. One of my areas of expertise is the ability to organize. What I gain in these skills I do lack in the ability to run a platoon and I am not an elite Military machine.
If our Government, the Presidential Administration and Congress, and Military Leaders feel this is a program that should be implemented and feel that I am the best person to get it going, then great, I will surround myself with experienced high level Military members to assist. If not me, then I hope that an experienced and dedicated eAmerican with a high level of organization skills can be used to run this, I would fully support them.

Please note, this idea, this proposal is not for my personal fame and glory, it truly is to benefit our Military and to help make the Military Training Division a smooth and prosperous unit.

FAQs
"The reason the TD is a fail is because of too many people so adding another branch is just like adding a new lane to a road with backed up traffic all the time, still alot of cars still a hassle but it will flow"
This isn't a branch of the TD, it's a separate model, like the HG and MI are separate. It's a place for them to go AFTER they finish in the TD

"I like the Reserves option. But it still has that problem of recruiting people to oversee it."
I dont think it. People wanting to find placement in one of the other branch that come into the Reserves will be given the leadership experience in running their own platoon, if they have the time.
It is more effective, because these are new graduates who really can't teach other newbs when they are still a newb.
So by running their own platoon in the reserves, they will gain that activity and leadership and organizational experience, so when they join the other branches they will be more valued

I appreciate you taking the time to read this, and I really hope this can be considered on a serious level.
Kind Regards
