Myself, CSD, My Friends in Terra and the War

Day 1,335, 09:40 Published in Canada Pakistan by Frodo Tea Baggins

Yesterday I had some fun in this game, as unlikely as it sounds. OK I made my own fun and went on a tanking spree. Reflecting on yesterdays events it made me think though about how certain things are done in the game being that we are in a gigantic world war.

Now the first thing that can be pointed out is that I'm not a tank by definition, I don't have the stats for it. However stats and producing damage are not equal. The best stats ingame do not mean much if you are not fighting.

Yesterday morning I was up early sitting around like always in Terra when a RW started in Washington. We didn't expect it, even the US CoS was surprised, but we discussed it. After a tactical discussion with Terra's SC we said screw it, let's win it anyway even though it's unplanned. With no members of the Can gov't online at the time I relayed the orders to TCO and the CAF, not really my position but I do it from time to time because I'm there. I got a response that extra supplies would be made available for this fight, everybody wanted to win this. Part way through the first battle which we were losing CSD sent me an extra 100 tanks.

Now I'm thinking this is cool, I didn't even ask and wooping extra supplies. I let the first battle pass since it was basically lost at this point, it was early, lack of america awake. The second battle started and I said screw this, let's win. At this point I started my tanking spree for the day.

During this battle the americas started to wake up. I held the wall as best I could and as people woke up they kept things going, our first win. Holding out that first 2 hours turned the tide, america woke up and I was able to walk away with my first BH of the day and I didn't need to fight there anymore. Terra finished the battle and won the rest.

Latter in the day France had a big battle planned. As always I was hanging in Terra and was willing to help. I asked if France would give me some tanks if I produced, and they said sure. Doing my best to help them I did close to 1.5 million in the first battle. We weren't so lucky this time and I was running low on supplies so I asked CSD if I could get more supplies also. My MU supplied me another 300 tanks. Although France did not win, I earned my 2nd BH and a CH for my efforts doing over 2.1 million damage for them.

What is the point of all this other than gloating?

I feel it brings forward an important point in a time of war towards how supplies are distributed. I am not against the idea of fairness when supplying people, however it does bring up that, do not those who make the effort to produce possibly deserve a little extra help? If someone makes the effort to produce does it not make sense to give them a little extra?

I give high props to Ralph Kline and the CSD for having a supply system based on make the numbers big and you will get more. In a time of big war there is a certain sense to supplying for damage, extra supplying for big damage. Obviously I paid out of my own pocket for alot, but it's the people behind you that make you want to do it, CSD, my friends from france, by spurring you on and saying we'll support you.

Something to think about.
