Though the Arab Liberal Party has long dominated Egyptian politics, new political parties are arising that will soon challenge its undisputed rule of Egypt. A new political party has arisen in Egypt that has already gained the support of Egyptian citizens residing in both the urban and rural areas of Lower Egypt, most notably in the major port city of Alexandria. This new political party, Al-Ikhwan Al-Muslimun or the Muslim Brotherhood, seeks the creation of an Islamic theocracy in Egypt and the rest of the Arabic world. It also advocates the repression of Western influences and the removal of all Western nations from the lands of the chosen people of Allah and Mohammed, the Arabs. Only time will tell if this new Muslim Brotherhood will rise to prominence in Egypt.

Tomorrow the most important elections in Egypt take place: the election for our nation's supreme commander and diplomat, the President. The dominant political party, the Arab Liberal Party, has selected a successor for its outgoing, incumbent President, Heboo, known as Arab League. His goals for Egypt include increasing the population by twenty percent, increasing the gross domestic product or GDP by five percent, and he is also emphasizing a new militaristic aggressiveness by advocating the conquest of three new territories. The largest opposition group, the Egyptian Peoples' Party, has also fielded a candidate who will most likely be able to challenge the Arab Liberal Party's dominance of the presidency. Their candidate, Varlosh, seeks an increase of the gross domestic product by eleven percent, the conquest of two new territories, and the defense of our current territories. The only other opposition party that, at the moment, has a chance at the presidency is New Egypt Republic. Their candidate, Cecenija advocates a twenty-five percent increase of the populaation, a fifteen percent increase of the gross domestic product, and the conquest of one new territory.

Greece's fateful invasion of its long-time enemy Turkey is leading to dire consequences for Greece. After its initial rebuffs on the Aegean Coast and Black Sea Coast, Greece successfully managed to capture the Aegean Islands. However, this was soon reversed after the successful Turkish resistance war in Northern Cyprus. Following the largely successful defense of its territories, Turkey launched a counterattack against the Greeks that began in the Aegean Islands. Turkish forces covertly landed on the Aegean Islands, and began an artillery bombardment on the Greek garrisons and military bases stationed there. After softening up the Greek defenses via the artillery bombardment, the Turkish war machine launched an assault on the main cities. Brutal and heavy fighting occurred until the majority of the islands were brought back under Turkish control. Victorious in the Aegean Islands, the Turkish war machine turned its attention to the Greek mainland, assaulting the Peloponnese. Turkish military forces quickly seized several strategic cities and towns, and then brutally entered Corinth. Though an initial Turkish tank attack on the suburbs of the city was repelled by Greek forces, the Turks, assisted by the immense payloads their bombers were dropping on the city, successfully captured the town hall and forced the garrison to surrender. Pushing its advantage, Turkey has now invaded Attica, and if Turkey is victorious there, the rest of Greece will most likely fall, and its territories in the Middle East will be easy pickings for an enterprising Arabic power.

Croatia, a long-time European ally of Egypt, is reeling as Serbia ruthlessly advances into its territory. Serbia brutally and bloodily conquered North Dalmatia earlier in the week. Riding its victory in North Dalmatia, Serbia launched an assault on the Croatian province of Lika. The Serbian military sent in armored units to smash resistance offered by the Croatian military. The Croatian forces; however, fought bravely, initially repelling five Serbian assaults and continued to engage them far into the night. During the fighting, the Croatian armored tank forces were destroyed by the Serbian forces, and without their armored support the Croatian forces fled in droves from the advance of the Serbian war machine. Riding the wave of its victory in Lika, Serbian forces assaulted the Croatian territory of Gorski Kotar. Serbian infantry and tank divisions swiftly entered the province, engaging in fierce battles with the Croatian forces attempting to defend the province. Serbian forces entered several cities, and after locating Croatian positions, pulled back and called in artillery and bomber strikes against them. In their brutal drive throughout the province, Serbian forces set entire cities on fire, wiping out thousands of civilians and eventually with the defeat of the last remaining Croatian forces in the province, Gorski Kotar fell to Serbia. Serbia's reassertment of its power over its Slavic neighbors could lead to a renewed Yugoslavia, which could become a major power in Eastern Europe.
