My Vision of eIndia
Octavius Dryst
A message for my predecessors
I respect what you have done, epoliticians, ecabinet members, and our epresdient. I just think that we can do better. We are a virtual nation of proud, intelligent, and dedicated individuals from the four corners of the real world. If we have drive, there is nothing beyond our abilities.
A list of successes-
Indian Army Implementation
Ambassadors Program
We havent been wiped this month \o/
Kismu's tracking device being used appropriately
A list of needed improvements-
Mentorship Porgram
More congressional participation and campaigning
A list of relative failure-
Government salaries
Dispatch regulations
Achievements
A big thank you and nod of appreciation should go from every one of us to the brave and tireless individuals that maintain our working army. Your dedication makes me proud to share citizenship with you. Your adherence to the rules, even in the face of criticism, is commendable.
Commius and his ambassadors are opening our eyes to the eworld around us. We are branching out and making new friends and contacts for our great nation. If we continue this system then hopefully sooner than later we will not have to rely on the good will of a few, but rather that of many. Send these cunning diplomats your thanks and support.
Finally Kismu. This individual has done his country perhaps the greatest service he could. He created a tool for all government offices to use. He is our prometheus and the ereptracker is our fire. With it we can create great and wonderous things, a thriving society. Kismu should be venerated among us, if only because his contribution will far out last any singular action one of us may take in its overall positive contribution to our society.
Improvements
I am in charge of the mentorship program, and it had a promising start. A series of mishaps, ranging from inactive deputies, a resignation, and incomplete understanding of the erep tracker have led to this programs development being severely retarded. I have in my mind what is a sound plan for implementation, but I need help to do it. Anyone who messaged me with interest in a position as a mentor expect to be contacted within the next day or so. This program will be fixed, and I have direct control over that.
Our congress elections are piss poor. I count 4 manifestos total out of the countless people running. One was published earlier, so a grand total of 6, with this one included. It has recently been proposed that our congressmen do not care. This may be true to an extent, but it can not be the accepted rule. Write for gods sake! This is your country and you are trying to represent it. Take part in the process!
Failures
This is the controversial part. Dont hate too hard.
Government salaries. I find the very thought of them generally distasteful. It should be an honor to serve ones country, regardless of the wage involved. We are building a system of cronyism and I can not help but wonder where it will stop. How long until congressmen ask for 1k inr per vote? or more, we have the money after all. I do not expect to be able to stop or alter government salaries beyond my own ministry, but if elected as a congressman I will advocate against it. There will be a more detailed arugment to come, but this is wordy enough and most of you probably stopped readinga while ago haha.
Dispatch regulations are a hindrance to the growth of our citizens. The fifteen minute time span of using your dispatch can be a tremendous pain. It just muddles things. I am not saying we should do away with it, but extend it perhaps? Allow 12 hours for the use, and people can stop in when free, pick up weapons, and come back to fight later when they have time. This would also negate the food fights requirement. Yes we will lose a bit of coordination in our strikes but enabling more people to hit readily when they can will increase our total damage outputs I believe. If we have an efficient updating of the required battles, then no damage is really lost, if anything it is gained. If elected I will attack this program relentlessly, I feel it is wasteful and while overall a positive, it is restrictive in its positivity. We can do better!
My Personal Statement and Promise
I will be active on the forum if I am elected. If you havent noticed I dont much like it. I lurk on IRC and communicate there. I realize this wouldn't be acceptable for a congressman and I will alter my online habits to accomodate for that. I will fight to keep india strong, progressive, and friendly to its base, the workers. I strongly encourage you to vote for me if you feel I will represent you well this coming month.
Much thanks and respect,
Octavius Dryst

i dont agree with your view of increasing the time period to 12 hrs. 15 mins time is quite enough
whats with this blank comments?
Gaurav its just an idea, one I think we should run with. 15 minutes it simply not enough. But these are simple things I will pursue and that I intend to change. I will have to convince people to make it happen
Mav approves.
Impressive article. o7
Dont be so upset Octavius... this is just a game😛
votado 😛
Nice article...
but regarding ur view...give me chance to explain.
The idea was to store 150+FFs and do joint strikes for a period of 15 mins. This is far more effective than a 12 period program if they will ever be one. Its not worth doing such a program because if Player A attacks at 5:30AM , Player B at 6:25 AM, Player C at some other time...it won't have any effect on the battles. Its better this way!
"Yes we will lose a bit of coordination in our strikes but enabling more people to hit readily when they can will increase our total damage outputs I believe. If we have an efficient updating of the required battles, then no damage is really lost, if anything it is gained"
The idea is stupid 😉
Nice Article!
