My Speech for Australian National Party President
calibur
Good day members of the Australian National Party. The time is near for our newly created party to have party elections and it seems that I have competition. I would first like to say that I am proud to say that our party membership has increased significantly in a matter of a week. Yes, currently we are about 12 members behind but do not let this drive you away from our great party. Our values are what Australia truly needs. There is no need for government intervention. The only intervention that Australia needs is the intervention of the free market and of capitalism. But, the addressing of the Party elections needs to come first.
As we all know our party was created but a week ago and I have been a little out of touch since my first interview with Vincent Grey. I would like to publicly apologize for this. I have been studying for finals in college and have not been able to do much. I have been contacting every single new member of the Australian National Party to see if they need help with anything though. But, I would like to say that my final test is on Wednesday morning and, assuming I win the elections, I will begin the right wing objection to the left’s wanting of social programs and larger government. I will begin actively campaigning to try and recruit people to our party. If you know anyone who is on the line politically let them know about this party. Let them know that we stand for the people. That we do not let the government get in the way. That we do not let taxes rise. That we allow personal liberty and no intervention on your personal life.
I have proven myself time and again in my political history. I was the two term mayor of Albany and did a great many things. I got the city a Q3 hospital and was able to raise thousands of dollars into the Albany treasury with nearly 1000 USD extra after the purchase. We had successfully designed a housing program that did not require the government purchasing houses. This system was a purely capitalist system where profits were made by all from the lowest who were able to receive a home to the highest who would have helped the housing market by promoting the purchasing of housing. This program, though, was never able to be finished because of admin and their horrible reaction time to emails. Sadly, I was not able to run a 3rd term because of admin’s destroying of local politics. Under my leadership the Australian National Party will not fail. We will become the dominant party in Australia. We will start our country’s new economy with the free market and capitalism! So if you want to see capitalism come to Australia. If you want to insure that your taxes remain low. If you want to make sure that your personal liberites are protected. If you want to see the Australian National Party become the dominant party in Australia. Vote Calibur on December 15! Vote Calibur for the Australian National Party President! Vote Calibur!
Calibur, President of the Australian National Party

I didn't know you were an Aussie
Haha I wasn't. Though I've always wanted to move there. When the country was recreated I wanted to help the country maintain political stability.
im more concerned about invasion and food on my table... civil liberties can take a back seat for now.
Well good sir. I am not making civil liberties the core of the argument. The core of the argument is the free market. If we allow companies to go out on their own food prices will be driven down. A political system with a government controlled economy is not good.
Ah yes, let the free market rule. Because the lack of government economical controls has not lead to any market colapses in recent memory. (cough)
Oh, I love it when people mention the current RL economic crisis. Ah, well that is because of poor management. Economic recessions happen. It part of the system. you have to let bad companies die out. sorry but helping out companies only prolongs the inevitable. The bailout bills being sent out will merely make interest skyrocket and taxes will raise quite a bit and the companies who made bad descicions before will only continue to make bad descions. thanks government control!
Great speach! According to this* there aren't many guys with similar beliefs to us so 13 members so far is a very good result. Wish you good luck!

If you can convince me that wage labour is not a form of slavery, I'll gladly join you.
Good luck Mr.Calibur
Ah how it pains me to see how we disagree so much, calibur.
@ Owen the Great
The RL Recession was not the result of capitalism, but, in fact, conversion to socialism. The RL American Government is simply prolonging the depression by "bailing out" companies that should have been allowed to die. The mediocre American Government should have stayed with capitalism. The RL American System is not a true free market.
Thank you lwarrior. Mr. Abarai good luck to you too. It seems that Mr. Stark doesn't know what the ANP stands for.
Yes, Iwarrior1, but calibur hit the nail on the head when he said, "Ah, well that is because of poor management. Economic recessions happen. It part of the system."
Crisis is part of the system. That is the problem - one of the problems socialism addresses. And when big companies start going bust, it's the workers who pay, while the capitalist cuts-and-runs with what's left.
Apart from the financial industry, there's nothing inherently wrong with the company's assets. It's factories, workers, etc. are all in perfect working order. The system's failure, however, makes all this redundant. Socialists find this tremendously illogical and wasteful.
Therein lies the dilemma. Capitalists ask if you should let huge companies die, or subsidise their survival? Socialists ask why we need this crappy system in the first place?
