4/25/2012: My Samson Option

I consider my large bazooka stockpile as my “Jericho Missiles.” In times of emergency, for the nation I love, I will launch my “Samson Option.” This brings me to my topic.

What should you do with your bazookas? If you follow your daily orders every day, you will get an energy bar and a bazooka. The energy bar is negligible if you are low in strength, but the bazooka.. they are worth their weight in gold. What should you do with them? There are lots of things you can do with them but some are wiser than others. Here are some strategies you can implement for your bazookas:

I) Earn a battle hero medal

Stockpile your bazookas until you have about 30-40 of them. Find a battle (preferably one low-priority) and check the following ideal conditions:

1) Can your bazookas do more damage than the current battle hero? (Obviously, if you can’t beat the BH [battle hero] or if you think the current BH is too high, wait for a better opportunity.)

2) Check the timer and points on both sides: Is the battle almost over or is it just the beginning? (You want to launch your bazookas towards the end of the battle to prevent another player from beating you. However, make sure you have enough time to launch all those bazookas.)

3) Are you on the winning side and does it come close (but not almost) to meeting the required points to win a battle? (That would be the ideal condition to launch your award-winning attempt.)

4) If not, is the opponent WAY ahead of your side in terms of battle status and points? (There is a chance that you can still win a losing BH medal by round’s end. However, you must let the enemy side win to cut the time. If the battle status, thanks to your efforts, starts to take the upper-hand, you’re giving more time for other players to react and they may beat your BH position.)

I know this method sounds selfish but I’m saying this as a long-term investment. What matters is you get the gold.

II) Earn a campaign hero medal

This is much harder because you have to accumulate the most points not just for one battle but for all the battles on your side in a campaign. Generally, you need to stockpile twice as much as you would for a BH. It’s safer though. If you fail to get a campaign hero, you’ll at least get a BH. Follow the tips for getting a BH.

III) Save it for the “Samson Option”

This is the most patriotic way to save your Jericho missiles. However, it can be unrewarding. You may or may not get a medal because there will be other players who will be desperate to make a last stand. However, God will be your reward : )

There are many methods to go about this but I want to share a way that is the most beneficial for the player.

Don’t use Samson Option when an enemy first attacks your country. Save it for use in a resistance war. There are many reasons for this.

1) There is a chance you can also support the resistance, earning you another 5 gold and a resistance hero badge.

2) In a resistance war, the sides are just between your country and the enemy’s. There are no allied or enemy nations that can directly support the war, which means fewer players participating, and which means easier BH / CH.

3) Opening a resistance war starts another front against your enemy. Ideally, you want to start a resistance war in an occupied territory while the enemy is still attacking the rest of your territories. Or start a resistance war while the enemy is attacking some other country.

As you can see, bazookas are the king of weapons. When you earn bazooka parts, don’t immediately assemble them unless you plan to use them right away. Or else, you will have to fight with a weapon every time. You can complete your daily orders easily without any weapons if you regularly log in to your account. And lastly, don’t ever just use bazookas or energy bars like a normal weapon. You are wasting your potential. Save them for honor and glory.

Switching to the RL world, it’s sad that many people use their “Samson-like” options unwisely. Instead of aiming at Satan, they aim it at schools, their families, and innocent people. They know that it is better, in the secular viewpoint, to be a “somebody” than a nobody even if they have to be evil. They go out in a blaze of glory. For me, if God doesn’t provide for me in this world (or if it seems), I know that He will provide for me in the next. I have my own “Samson Option” and it’s aimed at Satan.
